Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and confident Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Schererville. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced urgent care setting and managing a wide variety of patient conditions independently.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages
- Manage acute conditions including infections, injuries, and minor procedures
- Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, splinting, and I&Ds
- Order and interpret labs, X-rays, and other diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation (EMR experience preferred)
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Indiana (active and in good standing)
- DEA license (or willingness to obtain)
- DOT Medical Examiner certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior urgent care, ER, or primary care experience preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
