PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs prescribed diagnostic procedures requiring specialized knowledge and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services to a specified patient population.  Ensures accurate diagnostic results for patients of any age of graphically recorded impulses generated by the brain providing quality outcomes by performing EEG (electroencephalogram) consistent with Christiana Care department policies and procedures. 

SHIFT/HOURS:

• Two 12 hour shifts and two 8 hour shifts per week. (4 Day work week)
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Scheduled work days will primarily be any days Mon-Fri
• On Call commitment (alternate being on-call overnight, and on the weekends)
• Candidate would be flexible to work at both our Newark and Wilmington locations

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtains relevant medical patient information from patient, family or chart.
• Establishes rapport with patient and gives proper instructions to ensure cooperation.

• Calibrates EEG machines.
