This is a traveling position, with company vehicle provided and full travel expenses paid. The electrician is also paid for drive time to and from work locations in the state of Florida.
This is a traveling position and requires reporting to the SSC in Orlando on Mondays before leaving out for the week. Travel is approx. 50 weeks out of the year.
The ABC electrician handles layout, installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, and equipment as detailed below:
- Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provides access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes
- Follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduits
- Pull wiring through conduits
- Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps
- Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
- Installs control and distributions apparatus such as switches, relays and circuit- breaker panels
- Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor and installs grounding leads
- Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
- Repair faulty equipment or systems
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education
- Experienced commercial electrician skills required
- Self-started, able to work independently
- Must pass company-issued background check
- Must have solid driving record
- Solid communication skills to work with store staff and corporate office
- Must pass company-issued drug testing
Physical Requirements With or Without Accommodations
- Must be able to climb to high spaces, and/or crawl to low spaces
- Eye dexterity for long and short-range vision
- Ability to lift and move equipment and tools, up to 35 pounds
- Physically able to drive long distances in vehicle

What it takes to succeed:
- At least 18 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
- Demonstrate high quality guest service skills
- Valid state driver's license with a good driving record and proof of insurance
- Able to meet company driving guidelines
- Able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
- 6 months previous experience working with children preferred
- Able to follow all park and departmental policies and procedures
- Willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines, safety, and employment standards.
What else is important:
- Able to stand and walk for an entire shift.
- Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing and climb/ascend heights. Climb ladders up to 6' and ascend stairways and reach above shoulders.
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, bending, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).
- Available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid, closing shifts and holidays.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Will perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
- Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
