About the Work:

Kitchen Guard performs fire-safetycritical kitchen exhaust cleaning and inspection services for commercial kitchens. Our work directly impacts whether a kitchen can safely operate and pass inspection. We run structured night operations with defined processes, heavy documentation, and high accountability.

Role Overview:

This is a working leadership role. The Foreman leads a two-person crew, works hands-on, and is accountable for job quality, safety, documentation, and outcomes.

What You Will Do:

Lead and work alongside a two-person night crew

Ensure work meets company standards and NFPA 96 requirements

Enforce checklist compliance, safety protocols, and documentation

Confirm job completeness before departure

Identify and document deficiencies or inaccessible areas

Train and coach technicians on proper methods and expectations

Serve as the on-site decision-maker

Maintain equipment condition and report discrepancies

Drive the company vehicle nightly to job sites

Schedule & Hours:

Overnight work only

Typical check-in: 9:3011:00 PM

Typical check-out: 6:007:00 AM

Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week during initial ramp-up, provided work is completed to standard

Overtime is variable and not guaranteed

Completion to standard means adherence to safety procedures, job checklists, and required documentation.

Physical Requirements:

Perform all physical tasks required of the technician role

Climb ladders, access rooftops, lift up to 50 lbs

Stand and work on feet for extended overnight shifts

Qualifications:

Prior hood cleaning, pressure washing, or similar trade experience strongly preferred

Previous crew leadership or lead technician experience required

Strong organizational discipline and time management

Clear written and verbal communication

Valid driver's license

Must pass a background check

Compensation & Benefits:

$23$27/hour, based on experience
