Base Salary: $170,000 - $300,000(2+ yrs of experience)


About the Role

The position focuses on defending employers in a wide range of employment disputes, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and PAGA matters. The role offers substantive litigation responsibility and consistent client interaction.


Responsibilities

  • Manage employment defense cases from intake through resolution
  • Draft and argue motions, including demurrers and summary judgment
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Handle written discovery and case strategy
  • Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and court appearances
  • Advise employers on compliance and risk mitigation


Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license
  • 2+ years of employment defense experience
  • Strong motion practice and discovery skills
  • Experience handling wage & hour and discrimination matters
  • Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload in a remote setting


Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 – $300,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Our client, a fast-growing plaintiffs’ employment law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dedicated Employment Attorney to join their dynamic team.

As part of their litigation team, you’ll represent employees in individual and class action claims, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases.


What You’ll Do

  • Handle all aspects of litigation from intake through trial or settlement
  • Draft and respond to discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Draft and argue motions, including MSJs
  • Appear for hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Manage client relationships with empathy and strategic guidance
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex class and PAGA cases


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of employment litigation experience
