Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant--This position provides patient care services to patients with musculoskeletal conditions and spine care, including assessing and managing patients in the outpatient clinic--This position will work three days per week--Perform complete physical exams, obtain complete medical history, monitor therapies, give injections and medications as indicated, and record findings.--Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.--Collaborate with support staff and management regarding patient care, and provide direction to clinically-based support staff regarding patients? treatment needs.--Determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and develops treatment options.--Provide acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring therapies, giving injections and medications as indicated.--Instruct patient/family regarding medications and treatments--Perform telemedicine visits as appropriate--Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team including nursing, dieticians, psychologist, physical therapists, and physicians.--Educate patients regarding health and illness prevention.
