**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team for primary care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. This position offers opportunities to work in primary care.

**Must be available to work 2-3 days a week and 1 half Saturday a month from 9-2 pm**

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist in providing comprehensive patient care by conducting assessments, interventions, and treatments following established guidelines and protocols.

- Utilize expertise in physiology knowledge to deliver optimal care to patients.

- Perform procedures such as suturing and medication administration with precision and adherence to best practices.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care and outcomes.

- Engage in telehealth services to reach patients remotely and provide necessary medical support.

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.

**Qualifications:**

- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

- Current PA license and certification in the state of practice.

- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings including clinics, nursing homes, and inpatient facilities is preferred.

- Proficiency in aseptic techniques, diagnostic evaluations, and medication administration.

- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

- Excellent communication skills and empathy towards patients.

Job Summary

As a Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a vital part in our clinics by providing disease management, health promotion, preventive care, and patient education across diverse medical conditions and age groups. Your expertise and comprehensive care approach will contribute significantly to the overall success of our medical practice, as you provide accessible and high-quality primary healthcare services to our patients, fostering long-term patient-provider relationships and improving health outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, including interpreting medical histories and conducting psychosocial evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, infections, and injuries, as well as common illnesses and injuries.
• Create, implement, and manage patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care and recording progress notes meticulously.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and order necessary diagnostic tests to support patient treatment plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families on preventive care, health maintenance, disease prevention, medical issues, and the correct use of prescribed medications.
• Collaborate with our virtual team to provide care for telemedicine patients as needed, with training provided to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
• Working alongside scribes, you will optimize direct patient care using state-of-the-art facilities, while collaborating with a physician-led Aftercare team for ongoing follow-up and coordination of patient care.
• Your willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks, processes, systems, and technology will contribute to your success in this role.

Job RequirementsEducation and Experience:

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Master?s degree or Doctorate Degree in Family Nurse Practice.
• New York State Certification and Licensure as Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Completion of Accredited PA Program, NCCPA Board Certification or National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through ANCC or AANP, and clinical rotations in various medical specialties, such as internal medicine, family medicine, surgery, pediatrics, emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, and others.
• All training required for NYS registration including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Infection Control Training.
• Must obtain FMCSA certification within the first three months of employment. This certification is crucial for conducting CDL exams, a key part of the services we provide.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA Compliance.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a primary care PA or FNP and experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Valid DEA Registration and Suboxone certification are preferred.
• Bilingual Skills (English and Spanish) are preferred, but not required.
• Valid Medication Administration Training (MAT) Certificate.

Job Description

Performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation. Participates in performance improvement, research, and educational activities.

Job Responsibility

• Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations.
• Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients.
• Performs daily patient rounds.
• Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
• Interprets laboratory and test results.

• Upon discharge, notes discharge summaries, prescriptions, and any referrals on patient charts.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor?s Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited (Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Assistant Programs ARC-PA) program, required.

• Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), required.

We are a New York State-certified Patient Center Home primary care provider (PCMH PCP) located at Flushing downtown, Our offices are all conveniently located in the Flushing downtown of Queens, which provides easy commute from and to Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn and Long Island via #7 subway and numerous bus lines.

We are actively looking for a either a (1) local physician, or two(2)board certified PA or NP to join us on either part-time or per diem basis to help cover the weekday or weekend shift in our new office (one block away from the #7 subway train station in Flushing) .

We are open to both bilingual Mandarin or Korean-speaking candidate and we offer competitive hourly rate. Our medical staff are well trained in the medical field and are all bilingual to assist you to communicate with our mandarin-speaking patients. We welcome local hospitalist and we can work with your busy schedule at hospital as much as we can.
