RN - Interventional Care Unit
FT, Days
The Interventional Care Unit (IVC) is an outpatient telemetry area that provides care for an average of 25–30 patients per day. As a day-shift nurse in the IVC, you will deliver both pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary interventions. These procedures include cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, ablations, TAVRs, and bronchoscopies.
All patients arrive from home and are independent with their activities of daily living. This position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week with variable start times.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Must have RN telemetry experience
- Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- License: current RN license in the state of Missouri or compact state

What You’ll Do

Functional Purpose
The successful applicant will provide representation and advice to Postal Service officials involving the interpretation of statutes, regulations, contracts, and precedents, as well as the negotiation and presentation of cases before the federal courts in the area of tort law. Occasional travel will be required.
The successful candidate will provide direction and support to U.S. Attorney's Offices on District Court tort litigation and handle the commitment and negotiation of postal funds for settlement purposes. There may be occasional opportunities to act as co-counsel at the trial on more significant cases. The attorney will work closely with the Chief Counsel of Torts and the
Managing Counsel of the General Law Service Center on establishing higher level settlement authority limits, which may reach seven or eight figures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conducts legal research and prepares written material for use in representing the Postal Service and advising postal management officials.
2. Participates in conferences necessary to representing or advising Postal Service officials.
3. Directly advises postal management officials or represents the Postal Service in legal matters involving outside parties.
4. Prepares replies to inquiries from Congress, government agencies, and the public.
5. Prepares opinions, memoranda, decisions, regulations, testimonies, or formal filings in proceedings in which the Postal Service is a party.

5. Ability to conduct legal research to gather and interpret information and ensure accuracy of details; using resources such as internal and external documents, archives, electronic databases, and interviews.
6. Knowledge of Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) and its implementing regulations sufficient to evaluate and negotiate complex tort claims and provide oversight of FTCA litigation.
7. The three years of required experience must include at least two years litigating or overseeing litigating in the federal
courts.
8. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: To be eligible for the Attorney position, you must possess a Juris Doctorate from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
9. SPECIAL CONDITION: Qualified applicants must be a current member in good standing of a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Bar.
10. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: At least 3 years of experience in legal practice, of which one year of the experience requirement may be met through the completion of a judicial clerkship if completed by the time of hire. The clerkship must be documented in the applicant's resume.

Our Ideal Candidate
WellRithms is looking to add a talented and experienced In-house Counsel to our expanding Workers' Compensation team. The In-House Counsel will manage and oversee workers' compensation claims and handle various litigation matters for the company. The role is primarily remote; however, the In-house Counsel must be flexible to manage travel schedules and attend to in-person requirements, ensuring that the case is represented professionally and effectively. The In-house Counsel will report directly to the Litigation Management Director.
Responsibilities
- Manage a substantial portfolio of workers' compensation cases, overseeing the entire lifecycle from initial case intake through resolution, including reviewing claims, gathering evidence, filing necessary paperwork, and ensuring compliance with relevant state laws and regulations.
- Effectively handle the process of appealing cases when necessary, navigating the legal complexities of workers' compensation law, and working to secure favorable outcomes.
- Perform comprehensive legal research to support case strategies, utilizing case law, statutes, and administrative regulations specific to workers' compensation law.
- Negotiate with opposing parties, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to reach settlements or resolve disputes efficiently while protecting the client's best interests.
- Prepare and file all necessary legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses, ensuring that all documents comply with legal requirements and deadlines.
- Draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal briefs and motions that support the client's position.
- Handle filing appeals when necessary, articulating compelling arguments to higher courts or administrative bodies.
- Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations and interact with opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts, working to achieve favorable resolutions or gathering critical information to strengthen the case.
- Collaborate closely with the paralegal and legal teams to develop and implement effective trial strategies.
- Be prepared to travel as required for court appearances, depositions, and hearings.
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited ABA law school and active license to practice law in Missouri.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in workers' compensation law and litigation, with hands-on expertise navigating Missouri's legal landscape and regulations.
- Proficient understanding of Missouri workers' compensation law, litigation procedures, and legal risk management.
- Proven expertise in trial advocacy and appellate litigation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of state rules of evidence and rules of civil and appellate procedure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts.
- Ability to handle large caseloads and prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and ALJs, as well as build strong relationships and rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Exceptional at dissecting complex legal issues with keen analytical thinking.
- Ability to work independently, remotely, and effectively with other professionals.
- Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri.
