Position Overview


We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Director of Operations to oversee the company’s day-to-day operational functions and support internal administrative, HR, financial, and office processes. This role serves as a central operational resource for leadership and employees, helping coordinate across departments and ensuring the organization runs smoothly and efficiently.


This is a hybrid position. Certain responsibilities require in-person work at our Concord, MA office, while most operational and administrative responsibilities can be performed remotely.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee day-to-day operational functions to ensure administrative, HR, financial, and office processes run efficiently.
  • Serve as a central operational resource for leadership and employees, coordinating across departments and helping address organizational needs.
  • Execute financial transactions including ACH transfers, wire payments, vendor payments, and company payroll at the direction of executive leadership.
  • Coordinate with the VP of Finance Operations and Controller to support financial operations and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees, supporting benefits administration, company policies, and HR system management (BambooHR).
  • Maintain accurate and organized HR and company documentation, including employee records and operational files.
  • Oversee office operations, vendor coordination, and general workplace administration.
  • Manage company communications including general email accounts, phone lines, and incoming mail distribution.
  • Maintain company operational systems including vendor accounts, subscriptions, and shared administrative resources.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to executive leadership and assist with internal operational projects as needed.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, human resources, finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, administration, HR coordination, office management, or a similar operational role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting HR, payroll, vendor payments, or administrative financial processes.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial, payroll, and HR information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as BambooHR or similar platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating across teams in a hybrid work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and train adequate and competent department staff.

  • Ensure proper nursing documentation is entered for each client, including but not limited to daily shift notes, weekly updates, treatment plans, treatment plan updates, contact notes, and discharge summaries.

  • Manage performance improvement/disciplinary action as warranted according to policy and document performance management as required.
  • Nurse Manager or designee to attend and present all necessary nursing-related information in weekly staffing for all clients.
  • Coordinate with providers to ensure that necessary communication and documentation is maintained, specifically relating to the ongoing medical, psychiatric, nursing, and medication management of client care.
  • Responsible for oversight of the facility’s infection control/prevention program.
  • Responsible for ensuring that there is an on-call nursing staff designated.
  • Receive facility-related calls and come in for uncovered shifts when all other options have been exhausted (per-diem staff, part-time staff, full-time staff, and the Agency are unavailable).
  • Attend Nursing Leadership calls/meetings monthly, and as needed.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and U.S. Government customers, to ensure alignment and project success.

  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or other related scientific discipline and 6 years of relevant EO/IR systems engineering work experience. Alternatively, a graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 3+ years experience working with systems integration and test
  • Prior or current experience working with eletro-optical/imaging systems
  • Prior or current experience working with space environment considerations and testing protocols
  • 3+ years experience with engineering and simulation software tools, such as MATLAB

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with space systems engineering, including knowledge of space environments, satellite systems, and space mission design. Familiarity with NASA-STD-1540 and/or NASA-STD-7002.
  • Experience in leading technical teams, managing projects, and coordinating cross-functional engineering activities.
  • Proficient in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORs, CAMEO, CREO, JIRA, and SysML.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of tackling complex engineering challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other relevant

 

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $1119,500 - $222,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
