Position Title: SANE RN
Purpose: The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) RN will complete the following activities through the emergency services department: recruitment, training, and supervision of sexual assault nurse examiners; coordination of on-call SANE schedules; act as liaison with local SART, CPRT, law enforcement agencies, prosecuting attorneys, victim advocacy programs; assist RNs who are preparing to testify regarding SANE cases in court; maintain and revise SANE policies for Genesis; conduct forensic sexual assault examinations; collect and maintain data regarding SANE activity.

Supervisory Responsibility: No Supervision: The job does not require the provision of guidance or supervision to others. There is no formal responsibility for directing others.
Materials Responsibility: Limited: Work requires limited responsibility for material resources. Position: Medical Assistant (MA): Vascular Surgery
Location: Davenport, IA
Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day shift, M-F
Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. Schedule:
- 32 hr/week, 8-10 hour days
- Flex start time between 7am-10am
- On call one weeknight 7p - 7a
- On call one Saturday and Sunday over 6 week period
- Must work 2 Fridays and 2 Mondays over 6 week period

Essential Functions:
- Administers nursing care to patients; includes assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient’s care plan in coordination with the physician.
- Provides nursing care guided by physician orders, unit protocols and professional judgment.
- Communicates effectively and appropriately with staff, physicians, patients, families and other healthcare team members.

Education:

An Endoscopy Registered Nurse at MercyOne provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally-competent care for infant through aging adult patients with gastrointestinal disorders/diseases, pulmonary conditions, and adults requiring prostate seed measurement and placement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification
- Planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidenced-based practice
- Adherence to the Professional Practice Standards as defined by ANA
- Active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.
Schedule:
32 hours per week
Day shift
7 am flex start time
Rotating call schedule
General Requirements:
Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
Possession of Illinois Registered Nurse license within 1 year of hire.
Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
