Position Summary

- Position: Physician Assistant - Cardiac Surgery
- Location: Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL
- Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Hours: 4 (10) hour shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Q5 rotating operative weekend call.

What you will need:
- License: Physician Assistant (PA) and Controlled Substance Licensure in the State of IL and Federal DEA required
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
- Experience: At least 2 years’ experience 1st assisting Cardiac Surgery Cases with equal experience performing Endovascular Vein Harvest. Radial Artery procurement a plus.
What you will do:
- Assist Cardiac Surgeon in the operating room, providing 1st and 2nd assist support for a continuum of Cardiac Surgery Cases including but not limited to CABG, Valve replacement and LVAD implantation.
- Job duties split between the OR (60%) and patient care, including the ICU (40%).
- No clinic responsibilities.
- Q5, rotating operative (only) weekend call.

The Role
You'll sit at the intersection of acquisitions and development — assisting with the evaluation of new opportunities and leading projects from initial underwriting and entitlement through construction and delivery.
What You'll Own:
- Lead Industrial development projects from initial site evaluation and due diligence through entitlement, design coordination, construction, and delivery
- Manage third-party/vendor partnerships, including civil engineers, environmental engineers, land planners, surveyors, and traffic consultants
- Drive accountability, scope adherence, and budget control across all consultants
- Reviewing and interpreting civil, environmental, and geotechnical reports to assess project feasibility and risk
- Direct permitting and entitlement processes with municipalities
- Review and interpret civil, environmental, traffic, and geotechnical reports to assess feasibility and risk
- Oversee zoning analysis and entitlement strategy
- Manage project schedules, development budgets, and cash flow forecasting
- Coordinate with internal construction teams to ensure alignment during preconstruction and execution
- Participate in value engineering and scope optimization
- Prepare investment summaries and development updates for internal leadership
- Acquisitions support — site evaluation, underwriting, and deal structuring
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in real estate development, construction management, or related field
- Experience with industrial, commercial, or land development is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading entitlements and municipal approval processes
- Strong financial modeling skills and advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience overseeing third-party consultants and driving accountability
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to read and interpret construction and civil engineering documents
- Experience managing civil engineers, environmental consultants, surveyors, and other third-party professionals
- A degree in Civil Engineering is a plus, but not required — we’re open to Real Estate, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or related fields

Position Overview
Part of the Nicholas Family of Companies, Nicholas & Associates, Inc. (N&A) is a construction management company established in 1978. N&A is seeking a Project Account Manager to provide accounting support in our back office. The Project Account Manager will primarily be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities for N&A’s construction initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations for assigned N&A projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across processes. Key tasks include:
- Collecting and processing payment applications and invoices from contractors
- Collaborating with Project Managers to review all project related invoicing
- Handling vendor relations, including managing payments and communications, and integrating data into accounting systems
- Preparing AIA pay applications for client submission
- Managing all project Change Orders and allowance/contingency tracking
- Collecting and distributing all corresponding documents for receivables/payables such as waivers, certified payrolls, etc.
- Participate in regular accounting meetings to align with colleagues and promote efficiency
- Document accounting processes for improved departmental consistency
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or commensurate experience
- Construction accounting experience preferred
- Software experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
