Responsibilities:

2. Assists the physician with transesophageal, intraoperative, contrast, and, if designated, fetal echocardiography.
3. Functions independently and provides applicable data regarding cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics to assist the cardiologist in the diagnosis of congenital heart defects.

Education and Experience
1. Education: Associate's degree in allied health profession required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Certification: ARDMS RDCS pediatric registry within 18 months of hire.
3. An appropriate credential in echocardiography from ARDMS or CCI is required. A credential in pediatric echocardiography is preferred. Successful completion of an ultrasound or CVT program accredited by CAAHEP is required.

Summary:
The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist is responsible for all drug distribution and control activities for the assigned patient care area. Evaluates, processes and monitors physician orders for patient medications and other pharmaceutical supplies, serves as a reliable source of drug information, provides expert consultation to healthcare professionals and ensures proper pharmacotherapeutics for all patients.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs complex clinical pharmacy services including drug therapy management, pharmacokinetics, multidisciplinary rounding, therapy protocol development and implementation, assist in operational initiatives and implementation, manages adverse drug reactions and medication errors and evaluates non-formulary requests.
2. Assists nurses and prescribers with medication use challenges and medication cost containment.
3. Demonstrates working knowledge of all drug distribution and control functions of pharmacy operations. Works effectively with pharmacy staff and other clinical staff regarding operational issues.
4. Evaluates drug therapy orders for appropriateness of dose, route, interval, schedule, duration, disease state, and organ function.
5. Monitors effects of drug therapy.
6. Documents interventions appropriately in electronic medical record. .
7. Provides drug education and counsels patients on appropriate drug use and storage.
8. Precepts the pharmacy resident(s)/students and provides effective and timely feedback on the resident's progress.
9. Provides mandatory education presentations to staff pharmacists.
10. Employs drug usage evaluation information to alter therapy effectively and participates in drug use evaluation programs. Active participant in Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee as required.
11. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age. Maintains knowledge and participates in accreditation activities.
12. Performs all the duties of a centralized staff pharmacist when required.
13. Participates in and accepts change as operations demand, including strategies designed to strengthen pharmacy programs.

You will:
- Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.
- Provide administrative duties to include but not limited to opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow up, verifying insurance and collecting payment, maintaining a clean environment.
- Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routing examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes
- Perform duties including speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care
- Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, chronic condition management
- A minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Experience in Family medicine or primary care practice preferred.
- Active Family Nurse practitioner license in good standing
- Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients. This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices.
- Order and administer immunizations and injections (to include but not limited to COVID19, influenza, TB, Depo) and provides evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.
- Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
- Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
- Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages not limited to but including Spanish
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires.
Education:
- Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$41.85 - $90.13 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

You will:

The typical pay range for this role is:
$41.85 - $90.13 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Join our Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East)!
Primary Patient Population:
- Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds)
- Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
- Medical/Surgical Overflow
Primary skills utilized/learned:
- IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management
- Hospice and palliative care
- Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification
- Time management, critical thinking, delegating
Personnel RN will work with:
- LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers
Number of beds on unit:
- 30 beds

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN
- Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
