The current model is a 3 hospitalist model.
Under this model, there will be approximately 14 shifts per month and covering every 1 in 3 weekends.
A combination of Hospitalists and primary care physicians work together to provide 24 hour coverage for the programThe average inpatient census at NCH is 17 patients.
There is a 4-bed ICU/CCU unit equipped with new monitors and beds, staffed by experienced Registered Nurses 24 hours a day and managed by an ICU director.
A staff Pulmonologist is available for consultation.
Phone consultation with Intensivists and other specialists is also available through University of Vermont Medical Center and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.The candidate must be experienced in Hospital medicine, with the ability to work independently and manage ICU patients.
The physician must have competency in central line placement and ventilator management.Requirements Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Experience in Hospital Medicine including ICU management.

Position Highlights
*Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
*Establish realistic, measurable short- and long-term patient goals with interventions put in place as needs arise to minimize rehospitalizations and continued evaluation of outcomes.
*Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
*Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure that tasks and interventions are implemented.
*Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts. Qualifications: *Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing*CPR Certification is required Benefits:
