Facility is seeking Chief Medical Officer to lead our team
- There is an expectation that the CMO will participate in providing care (whether in a clinic or ALF) for 2-3 days a week, with the remainder being used for administrative time.
- The CMO will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for designing, approving and executing the strategy of the company. As our company grows, we anticipate the CMO role evolving, with greater emphasis on administration and management.
- You will be leading accountability for performance including:
- Leading our clinical team (hiring, firing, performance management)
- Aligning with other clinical leaders to define standards and clinic quality program
- Ensuring standards are understood and applied universally
- Align Provider incentives
- Developing a winning culture of accountability
- Identifying and removing barriers to performance
- Partnering with finance and operations teams to optimize coding performance
- You will be responsible for ensuring we support and equip our comprehensive care teams , this may include:
- Refining and overseeing our team-based clinical care delivery model
- Leading the innovation of care delivery including: The use of hybrid onsite and virtual care; The use of new care coordination models including RPM, CCM and APCM; Integration of care with hospice, home health, specialists and hospitals
- Onsite visits to role-model care delivery for complex patients
- With support from 3rd party experts, developing world-class clinical onboarding and on-going training programs to equip onsite providers
- Partnering with leadership to lower administrative burden on providers
- Fostering a culture of collective collaboration among providers and care teams

- Our Senior Care team deploys an integrated model that includes an onsite care team (typically an NP/PA + RN/LVN) supported by a virtual team of care specialists, therapists, care coordinators and health concierges.
- Assisted Living patients are among the most complex, averaging 3x as many ED visits and 6x as many IP admissions as a community dwelling Medicare beneficiary. Furthermore, these patients are administratively very complex to serve ? no cars, no cell phones, high levels of dementia and many with powers of attorney.

- 1. Provider & Staff Management
- a. Clinical role model and leader of System Anesthesia of the clinical activities and works with entity Peri-operative leadership for maintaining appropriate standards of care appropriate to Anesthesia.
- b. Partner with HR and Provider Recruitment for development and implementation of compensation, recruitment and retention strategies.
- c. Oversees site medical directors to efficiently manage employed provider operations.
- d. Works closely with site Medical Directors on resolution of provider concerns, patient issues and other operational opportunities.
- e. Demonstrates accessibility to the physicians and other leaders, and effectively addresses care and service issues as they arise.
- f. Coordinates activities with and works collaboratively in professional matters related to physician performance with the PE and hospital/ASC leadership teams.
- g. Responsible for leading activities among physicians and various designated operating divisions and departments to facilitate the delivery of high-quality patient care and services, while focusing on efficiency in operations and opportunities.
- h. In collaboration with clinical leadership, ensures that patient access is available at the highest reasonable level
- i. Drives and manages compensation plans in partnership with physician and APP compensation teams.
- 2. Performance Management
- a. Coordinates activities among various designated operating divisions to facilitate delivery of high-quality patient care and services, while focusing on efficiency in operations and opportunities for cost reduction.
- b. Leverages complex decision support systems such as productivity, financial, market and comparative databases to evaluate performance effectiveness and develop new opportunities for growth and optimization.
- c. Leads the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets within designated guidelines and routinely monitors progress in achieving overall financial goals.
- d. Reviews ongoing financial and operational reports for budget variances and implements opportunities for improvement.
- e. Works closely with respective leaders to assess and improve departmental performance, by providing direction and leadership for utilization and process improvement with respect to patient throughput.
- f. Interprets and effectively administers policies in order to carry out organizational objectives.
- g. Participates as Clinical Governance Council (CGC) administrator or in designated administrative functions.
- 3. Program Development and Implementation
- a. Carries out anesthesia physician practice strategies, policies, and programs as determined by PHC Executive Leadership.
- b. Understands local market and has ability to translate business needs into service line operational solutions.
- c. Oversees the coordination of clinical start-up for new practices, whether newly recruited or acquired, across the Piedmont system.
- d. Partners with the relevant strategic resources within Piedmont Healthcare to develop and implement specific programs, products and services to support the long-range direction for practice operations.
- e. Coordinates system standardization of policies, procedures, processes and protocols for relevant services in order to create a high-quality, efficient, patient centered experience across the healthcare system.
- 4. Communication
- a. Keeps corporate service line leadership & hospital/ASC executive leadership abreast of significant operational issues and problems, and formulates recommended actions and solutions.
- b. Maintains high visibility - is an approachable, credible leader; understands organizational behavior and serves as a change-agent.
- c. Acts as a liaison with System & Physician Enterprise executive teams to clarify clinical rules, structures and policies.
- 5. Other duties as assigned to support the successful development and operational performance of a systemwide anesthesia service model
Hospitalist Medical Director Needed near Atlanta, Georgia A large practice has an excellent full-time opportunity for a physician to lead their Hospitalist and ICU teams near Atlanta.
The incoming Medical Director is responsible for the oversight and support of all clinical and non-clinical activities provided by the Hospitalist and the Intensivist Programs.
Other responsibilities include creating a team culture that values high performance and excellent patient care.
