The UD Team SBYD Coach will use his/her passion and expertise in sports, health and fitness to change young lives. As a member of the UD Team Youth Development Department, Coaches will use the power of sports and physical activity to engage, educate, and energize at-risk youth. Using an SBYD framework, where life skills are taught in conjunction with sports skills, Coaches will use sports to help struggling students to re-engage in the academic community. Purpose of Position:

Under supervision, with some latitude for independent judgement and initiative, participates, coordinates and implements one or more Human Resources functions, such as recruitment, confidential background investigations, onboarding, benefits and leaves administration, off boarding, employee relations, learning and development, personnel compliance and records management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Participates in recruitment activities, including career fair planning, preparing and posting employment or volunteer opportunities, reviewing applications, informing hiring managers of qualified candidates, and scheduling interviews.

2. Ensures that applicable positions are filled through the civil service testing and selection process, including staffing and attending hiring events and participating in interviews, while maintaining compliance with all relevant civil service and NYC Health + Hospitals laws, rules and regulations.

3. Facilitates or coordinates the onboarding of new hires and transfers by ensuring completion of confidential background investigations and that all necessary documents and information have been reviewed and submitted, including civil service processing, fingerprints, work/education verification, review of employment documents, and completion of associated data entry; promptly informs supervisors of inconsistencies or concerns.

4. Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the Human Capital Management system data by confidentially, accurately and efficiently reviewing and processing employment transactions (e.g., promotions, salary adjustments, transfers), and issues corresponding notifications.

5. A degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field. Certification in Medical Writing or Regulatory Affairs is a plus.


Experience Level:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in medical reviewing, pharmaceutical industry experience, familiarity with FDA and EMA regulations.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, ability to work under pressure, and a collaborative mindset.

Industry Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of medical content regulations, pharmacovigilance processes, adverse event reporting, and medical device documentation requirements.
