Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4 or Level 5) Systems Engineering Support Analyst to support the BDS Mission Assurance, System Safety and Safety Management Systems (SMS) organizations. This position is open to multiple locations.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including, Experienced, Lead and Senior .

The selected candidate will be a core member of a fast-paced, productive, and close-knit engineering team. Mission Assurance & System Safety Engineers are integral to the entire product lifecycle to identify, analyze, mitigate and verify the safety hazard risk of our Boeing products. This includes collaboration with all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, requirements definition, and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their fielded environments.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develops, maintains, and communicates strategies, policies, and initiatives to enhance mission assurance, safety, and airworthiness of Boeing products and services.
  • Assists to develop, gather and document basic technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle.
  • Assists with the application of systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to the design of basic system of systems, systems and new product development.
  • Assist with the development of best practices for Mission Assurance and Safety Engineers.
  • Coordinate key milestones across BDS programs to ensure the timely execution of mission assurance F/TMARRs and independent reviews.
  • Coordinate with Mission Assurance Division leaders to gain readiness status of customer commitments across 35 major BDS programs.
  • Researches, analyzes, and compiles basic technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program life-cycle.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise stakeholders on Enterprise Safety and Mission Assurance initiatives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Payloads organization within Boeing Commercial Aircraft is seeking Payloads Design Engineers (Associate or Experienced) to join our teams in Everett , WA .

The Payloads Organization is responsible for everything you see when you fly; and much of which you don’t.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads or assist in developing, integrating, and documenting interior payload system requirements to establish the component/system design

  • Leads or assists in developing, maintaining, and modifying interior payload system and component designs, using design tools and/or other design methods

  • Communicates and collaborates with the value stream which includes multiple engineering organizations, production operations, supply chain, customers, and leadership

  • Communications, in-person will frequently be required due to production-facing responsibilities

  • Leads or assists performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

  • Supports problem-solving efforts that include multiple disciplines and stakeholders, such as production support (build/installation)

  • Reviews engineering for soundness of designs, quality, producibility, etc.

  • Documents design/system requirements, design intent, lessons learned, etc. for historical and training purposes

  • Works cross functionally with broader team members within an IPT (Integrated Product Team) by making or help making timely sound decisions to carry the projects forward

  • Determines and define what is critical and what is not critical for a product and propose creative solutions to stakeholders and approvers

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking multiple Machinist Assemblers Precision to join our Machinist departments in either Seattle, WA or Tukwila, WA .

Machinists in this position participate in the design, fabrication and assembly of various production and research projects. Using a variety of precision machines (e.g., lathes, grinders, EDM, CNC and milling machines) to support aircraft engineering and production groups.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform bench work (e.g., drilling, honing, tapping, reaming) on production and experimental parts, as required

  • Assemble parts using rivets and bolts with correct tools such as rivet squeeze, lock bolt puller, rivet gun and bucking bar, power screwdriver, or ratchet per engineering requirements

  • Lay-out, plan and sequence machining operation

  • Analyze and interpret drawings, sketches, blueprints and verbal instructions to determine work to be performed on detailed precision parts (e.g., aircraft castings, fixtures, tools, shop aids)

  • Use shop math, geometry and/or trig to calculate dimensions

  • Determine/obtain raw material to be used (e.g., brass, aluminum, steel, composites, and wood) for machining or fabrication per drawing or customer requirements

  • Set up operate and adjust all common machine tools (e.g., lathe, mill, bridgeport, electrical discharge machine (EDM), drill press) to accomplish work on precision assemblies

  • Select machine to be used in machining process

  • Check machine to be used for missing, loose, damaged equipment, check oil and coolant levels and fill, as required

  • Write programs as required for multi axis machines

  • Adjust machine settings (e.g., speeds and feeds) to correct machining problems or to prepare machine for next operation in sequence

  • Perform minor editing of CNC programs per shop requirements

  • Select and check cutting tools per program or CNC documents

  • Ensure cutters are the correct type, length, diameter, radius, and are in good condition

  • Select machine accessories and holding devises (e.g., chucks, vises, turntables)

  • Verify that apparatus is in good condition

  • Identify fixtures and/or shop aids to be built and fabricate as required using mill, lathe, bandsaw, drill press, sander and grinder

  • Attach machine accessories, tools and shop aides using dial indicators, edge finders, wrenches, bolts, clamps, and overhead cranes

  • Monitor machine during operation for unusual vibration or sounds, watch machine gauges and controller display or digital readout for warnings, visually check cutter path, clearance and chips to ensure smooth operation

  • Check work with precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges) and ensure parts are free from defects (e.g., finish, dimensions, mismatch, tool marks) and complete per drawing, sketch or verbal instructions

  • Assemble, fit, check, test of developmental machine parts and assemblies to customer specification

  • Troubleshoot and test precision assemblies with working groups (e.g., engineering, production, inspection, manufacturing resource & development (MRD)) to resolve tooling/production problems

  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., coolants, solvents) in approved manner (per Material Safety Data Sheets) using personal protective equipment, as required

  • Maintain personal tool certifications, as required

  • Ability to use computers and knowledge and ability to use MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime; some positions may also be rotating shifts

The nurse case manager coordinates the care and service of selected patient populations through the acute care episode, across the continuum. Works collaboratively with inter-disciplinary teams, both internal and external to the organization, to improve patient care through effective utilization and monitoring of healthcare resources and assumes a leadership role to achieve desired clinical, financial, and resource outcomes.

•Advocacy: Advocates on behalf of patients and caregivers for service access or creation, and for the protection of the patient’s health, safety and rights.

- Advocates for the patient, family, physician, and facility to obtain benefits from insurance carriers and others that provide financial assistance for patients and promote health care treatment goals.
- Identifies and reports cases and problems appropriate for secondary review to Case Management Department leadership, the Medical Director, or Physician Advisor.

•Resource Management; Assures prudent utilization of all resources (fiscal, human, environmental, equipment and services) by evaluating the options available and balancing cost and quality to assure the optimal clinical and financial outcomes.

- Assesses the appropriateness and timeliness of level of care, diagnostic testing and clinical procedures, quality and clinical risk issues, and documentation completeness.
- Maintains and documents third-party payers’ authorizations, contacts, and transactions for individual patients.

•Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accountability for achievement of optimal outcomes within their scope of practice.

- Seeks out information and resources and uses creative problem solving for complex discharge planning, quality of care, and utilization issues. Explores new resources when the opportunities for the patient are absent or in short supply.
- Continually evaluates case management services and client outcomes.

•Professionalism: Acquires and maintains knowledge and competence related to the expectations of their position and practices within their scope.

- Studies information available to remain informed of reimbursement modalities, community resources, review systems, and clinical and legal issues that affect patients and providers of care.
- Serves as a resource and provides education to patients, physicians, and professional staff on levels of care, quality-of-care issues, and regulatory concerns.
- Provides orientation and mentoring to new staff.
- Works in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and with the unique requirements of reimbursement systems.

Join us in making a difference in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns as a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician!

As a newborn hearing screen technician, you will provide hearing screens in the hospital after a baby is born. You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss. At Pediatrix, you will receive on-the-job training. This includes annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. Responsibilities

On a typical day, you will conduct newborn hearing screens, usually in a new mom's hospital room, and help educate parents about the importance of the screen using video and printed tools we provide. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Pay : $24.32/hour, with potential to earn up to $53.30/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
