Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Estimator. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to estimating costs, controlling costs, and managing electrical contracting projects.

Qualifications

Position Overview

Meade is seeking a full-time Payroll Administrator to join our team in Willowbrook, Illinois. This role is ideal for candidates with prior payroll experience; however, we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience who are eager to learn and grow. The Payroll Administrator will play a key role in supporting a growing local organization and ensuring accurate, compliant payroll operations across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end payroll for employees working across multiple states.

• Update and maintain employee withholding tax changes, garnishments, and tax levies.

• Review payrolls to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and employees.

• Prepare union benefit reports for multiple unions.

• Maintain accurate and organized payroll records.

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.

• Manage 10+ weekly Certified Payroll Reporting projects and respond to related inquiries.

• Utilize relevant systems such as LCP Tracker, Baker Tilly’s IRA Compliance Software, Illinois Department of Labor Reporting Software, and Global Project Tracking Systems (preferred).

• Serve as backup for weekly union payroll processing and monthly fringe union reporting across various states and systems.

Qualifications

• Prior payroll experience preferred; minimum of 2 years is ideal.

• Associate degree in Accounting preferred.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task effectively.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Willingness to work limited hours during holiday weekends and occasional overtime.

• Union payroll experience is a plus.

Board Up and Carpentry Technician

OVERVIEW:

• The Lead Carpenter / Board-Up Technician is responsible for leading and performing emergency board-up services, temporary structural repairs, and carpentry work in response to property damage caused by fire, water, storms, or other disasters
• This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards during every day and emergency response situations
• The position requires strong carpentry skills, the ability to assess damage and site safety, and clear communication with customers regarding the scope of work and next steps in the restoration process
• The Lead Carpenter / Board-Up Technician must work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress environments, coordinate with team members and vendors, and maintain accurate documentation while prioritizing safety, professionalism, and customer service

SUPERVISION AND EXERCISE RECEIVED:

• Reports directly to the Mitigation/EMS Project Manager and receives direction from the Mitigation/EMS Project Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Board up/ Tarp and secure homes and businesses that have been damaged by fire, floods, storms, break-in, and car impact
• Conduct roof inspections, patch roofs, and ladder assistance
• Responsible for building, ground, and fleet maintenance

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Be available for on-call and emergency response services as required
• Lead and perform emergency board-up, temporary repairs, and carpentry work with high-quality craftsmanship
• Safely operate power tools, equipment, and materials; take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations
• Assess damage, identify hazards, and resolve unexpected conditions in disaster-related environments
• Explain the scope of work, board-up process, and lead role to customers, address questions and concerns professionally

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must possess mobility to work in an outdoor setting and drive and operate motor vehicles, mechanical equipment and machinery. WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Working outdoors in various temperature conditions and some direct exposure to hazardous substances. Workers may be subject to uncomfortable working conditions including exposure to extreme heat or cold, dust, noise, unusual heights, confined spaces, electrical current and construction hazards. Due to the nature of the work, often the job sites will be dirty, possibly cold, or wet and sometimes unsanitary. Employees will be required to wear protective gear as necessary and most working hours. The work is sometimes strenuous. Employees must be able to follow safety precautions because working in damaged buildings leaves them vulnerable, particularly following earthquakes, for example. BIM Technician

Position Overview

As a Building Information Modeling Technician at Meade, you will be responsible for advanced modeling and creating working shop drawings that will be used to support shop fabrication and field installation on various construction projects. Coordination of drawings and working closely with assigned Project Managers, Vendors, Engineers, and Field Personnel will be essential for this position. You will use Autodesk software for design and various 3rd party software where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Help the BIM Manager develop strategies to integrate BIM Modeling into Design and Prefabrication.
• Review and fix clashes with other trades and participate in coordination meetings.
• Work closely with BIM Manager and Project Managers for resolution of issues identified during coordination meetings.
• Analyze project BIM requirements and identify early strategies for successful BIM/detailing implementation.
• Model and coordinate projects at a 500 Level of Design (LOD).
• Model and coordinate with other trades to ensure routings and clearances are understood and no obstructions exist.
• Identify BIM “lessons learned” and participate in educational meetings within the department.
• Follow BIM standards and implementation plans on projects.
• Work with field personnel on site and perform site surveys and field measurement work as needed to support the conceptual and design drawing effort.
• Create and revise submittal documents.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years' related experience within the construction industry with knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks software. Knowledge of BIM360 and/or Autodesk Cloud is an advantage, but not required.

• Proficient in Windows, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam.
• Strong computer skills and aptitude for learning.

Job purpose

A Project Manager provides overall management direction to multiple projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with prime client contracts, and monitors construction and financial activities through administrative direction of on-site construction manager. May be top on-site manager on large, extensive projects. Ensures projects are completed within timeline and budgetary requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for managing and directing the project team through communication, coordination and follow up necessary to meet project goals and objectives.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Responsible for project start up, project completion and close out process.
• Develops Critical path schedule and maintains updates throughout the duration of the project.
• Authorizes correspondence to both Owner and Subcontractor when required, acting as primary liaison with Owner over contract matters.
• Chairs progress meetings with the Owner/Consultant and/or coordination meetings with Subcontractor where necessary.
• Identifies and secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule
• Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
• Ensures steady cash flow/pay estimate processing by Owner.
• Billing for all contract work, as well as estimating, submitting, negotiation, and billing extra work.
• Has overall responsibility for profitability of entire job.
• Prepares and submits contract documentation including:
• Contract proposals.
• Contract claims.
• Material inspection.
• Final quantity agreement with Owner and Subcontractors.
• Final Contract documents required by Owner including DBE final documentation, Consent of Surety, etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-10 years practical experience as a Project Manager, road construction industry preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office products, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
• Experience using project management and/or scheduling software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; solid speaking, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Outstanding customer relationship management skills; must be able to work with many other stakeholders to manage project requirements.
• Highly skilled in the art of negotiation.

Working conditions

The working conditions for this job entail a combination of working in an office setting and working in the field. Offsite jobsite visits include working outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold with exposure to loud noises and equipment with moving parts. May require evening and weekend work on a regular basis during periods of heavy workload.

Physical requirements

Incumbent is required to sit and stand for extended periods of time, as well as operate a motor vehicle. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
