Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding primary care to patients.
• Conduct physical exams and patient observations.
• Record patient medical histories and symptoms.
• Develop patient care plans and contribute to existing plans.
• Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
• Monitor and operate medical equipment.
• Diagnose health issues.
• Recognize changes in a patient?s health and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Administer medicines and treatments.
• Evaluate responses to treatments and medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, injuries, and disease prevention.

Requirements:

• Master's degree from an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant program.
• Licensure in the state of IL and board certification by either ANCC or AANP.
• Prescriptive authorization.
• Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment relevant to the role.
• Familiarity with computer-based data management programs, information systems, medical records, and point-of-interview technology.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with retail and medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians, and community representatives.
• Solid understanding of all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Experience providing primary care as a family nurse practitioner.
• Knowledge of disease prevention.

Responsibilities
