Summary:
Responsible for the pulmonary care of critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision. Performs various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital. Performs patient assessments and institutes respiratory care plans.
Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to:
Emergency (Code Blue and White) response;
Airway management including nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning;
Delivery of aerosolized drugs;
Ventilator management (i.E.: setup and operation);

Airway retaining device placement and maintenance;
Airway support device management including BiPAP and CPAP devices;
Oxygen deliverydevices and therapeutic monitoring;
Chest film analysis;
Bloodgas collection and analysis;
EKG analysis;
Accurate and complete documentation;
Cleaning and stocking of equipment and supplies as necessary;
Participate in CAP and JC surveys.
RRTs may function as Shift Leader or serve in the capacity of Team Leader.
Advanced practice skills may include:
Therapeutic gas management and monitoring, including INO and HeO2;
Pulmonary Function Testing;
Bronchoscopy assist;
Hemodynamic Monitoring;
Waveform analysis;
Nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (Desaturation Studies);

Analyzes clinical status of patient, current treatment plan, and past medical history and identifies potential gaps in MD documentation and leaves physician query to obtain complete, accurate clinical documentation.
Works closely with HIM coding staff to assure documentation of discharge diagnosis and any co-existing co-morbidities is a complete reflection of the patient’s clinical status and care
Maintain a DRG worksheet to assist coders on identifying all documented POA/HAC, diagnosis and procedures
Updates DRG worksheet to reflect any changes to inpatient status/procedure/treatment and confers with the physician to finalize diagnosis.
Demonstrates basic knowledge about HIM coding standards and applies to ongoing evaluation of medical record documentation for accuracy of physician documentation to support the acuity of illness.
Performs chart review on expired patients to identify severity of illness and risk of mortality for performance improvement activities.
Develops and implements plans for both formal and informal education of physician, nursing, and other clinical staff on clinical documentation opportunities, coding and reimbursement as well as performance improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with case manager regarding cases with length of stay outside of the expected GMLOS, to ensure documentation identifies severity of illness and maximizes reimbursement potential.
Coordinates and assures complete and accurate data collection and validation for public reporting data initiatives for Premier, CMS and JCAHO.
Helps identify problems, offers solutions, and participates in their resolution.
Coordinates with quality department by: providing concurrent review for core measures documentation, providing retrospective chart audits as needed, and educating nursing and medical staff of improvement and current status of quality initiates.
Performs follow-up to document physician response to queries. Tracks and trends patterns of physician responses and reports monthly to director.
Designs and implements collaboration with physician leadership specific tools to support medical record physician documentation.
Work collaboratively with the coding staff to ensure that documentation of discharge diagnoses and co-morbidities are a complete reflection of the patient’s clinical status and care.
Review final DRG and compare with clinical data gathered to ensure the DRG assigned is appropriated and that all co-morbidities are captured.
Communicates with Case Management Director and/or Vice President of Medical Affairs regarding program barriers/success/outcomes of CDI program.
Assists in collection and organization of data for analysis by appropriate medical and hospital committees.

Job Summary The Senior Program Manager, International Student Recruitment is the subject matter expert (SME) and key driver for the development and implementation of a strategic student outreach/recruitment campaign to attract qualified applicants in designated world regions on behalf of NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD).
This position has primary responsibility to develop specific regional plans to drive student applications to NYUAD, optimize initiatives and activities to enhance the student application pool, conduct data-driven impact analysis of recruitment activities on application targets from each region, and develop focused reports to communicate success and strategies to change approaches as required.
This position is responsible for management of operations, personnel, and budget allocations of the IIE/NYUAD Program, including supervision of direct reports (3), international contractors through a third-party Employer of Record (EOR) (4), and a dotted-line (matrix) reporting structure for outreach officers in IIE International Offices (4).
The Senior Program Manager represents IIE/NYUAD in interactions with NYUAD admissions leadership and team members.
Essential Functions: Manages the daily activities of the NYUAD program, including overseeing operations, budget allocations, personnel, and policy decision-making.
Provides guidance and direction to a global team of international recruitment professionals to achieve program deliverables including accountability of each team deliverables in five different world regions.
Manages employment of outreach officers through an EOR, including establishment, maintenance, and tracking of processes for payroll, expenses, reimbursements, vendor payment, and PTO.
Oversees the development of an international recruitment plan and strategy to identify and recruit a competitive and diverse international student applicants for all academic programs prioritizing students from regions relevant to the Scope of Work.
