Our client is looking for a contract attorney to support their Affordable Housing practice group for an anticipated period of 2–3 months. This contract attorney will support a team focused on affordable housing, community development, and complex real estate finance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Draft and review loan documents, purchase agreements, and partnership agreements for affordable housing, mixed-income, and mixed-use transactions
  2. Assist with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), NMTC (New Markets Tax Credit), historic tax credit, and tax-exempt bond financings
  3. Support multifamily acquisitions, refinancings, public-private partnerships, and opportunity zone transactions
  4. Assist with workouts and dispositions of distressed real estate assets


Qualifications:

Tasks

Utilize computerized legal reference systems (Lexis Nexis, Lexis Advance, Westlaw, and/or Westlaw Next) and analyze applicability to specific issues. Draft research summaries and check legal citations. Prepare correspondence.
  • Collect, organize, and review complex factual material and documentary data for office investigations and compliance reviews.
