Position Overview: Facility Size: 133 beds Level III NICU with a 9-bed capacity and a 20-bed newborn nursery Annual Deliveries: Approximately 900 Average Daily Census: 2-3 in NICU, 5-8 in newborn nursery C-section Rate: Approximately 30% EMR Systems: Meditech and PremiEHR Shift Details: 24-hour shifts: In-house from 8 AM to 4 PM, on-call from hotel from 4 PM to 8 AM Responsibilities include rounding in NICU/newborn nursery, admissions/discharges, and attending emergency C-sections when the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is not present Requirements: Board Certified in Neonatology A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience post-residency NRP Certification Eligible for Virginia State License (proof of application required at submission) Ability to work at least 8 shifts per month Credentialing and Submission Requirements: Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days Expedited privileges available for those with a clean file Complete CV with dates in MM/YY format Sequential work history with explanations for gaps over 30 days List of all licenses, boards, and certifications with expiration dates Disclosure of any malpractice or legal issues with supporting documents Interview Process: A call or Zoom interview with the Site Medical Director/Clinical Leadership will be required.
