Position Summary
Plans, evaluates, and implements high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients, both adults and children in cooperation with center physicians.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Adheres to the service and courtesy standard of WellStreet Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times. 2. Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and WellStreet Care policies and procedures. 3. Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education. 4. Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner. 5. Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement. 6. Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the urgent care center. 7. Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned. 8. Performs other responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Georgia medical license
- Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of Georgia.
- Current DEA registration.
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet.
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilledPhysician Assistant to join ourOrthopedic Trauma Teamat Atrium Health Navicent. The PA will work closely with orthopedic trauma surgeons to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessments, orthopedic consults, managing postoperative care including pain management, and developing treatment plans.
Job Summary:Participates in team focused patient care by means of patient examinations augmented by diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations/ interventions in the medical and/or surgical theatres of health care.
What You'll Do:
As a valued member of our healthcare team, the PA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, conducting thorough examinations and evaluations in medical/surgical settings. Responsibilities include:
- Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.
- Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
- Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines.

The PA functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (Georgia Medical Board) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements:

- Current Georgia Medical Board Medical License,
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing is required to start.
