POSITION OVERVIEW

The Transportation Road Engineer will support roadway design and transportation infrastructure projects across Ohio. This role involves planning, design, and execution of roadway projects for state, municipal, and county clients. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, the engineer will contribute to delivering high-quality roadway solutions that meet regulatory standards, client expectations, and community needs. This position combines technical design, project coordination, and client interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Transportation Engineering & Roadway Design

• Design roadway infrastructure projects including highways, streets, and intersections
• Conduct site assessments and data collection for planning and design
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Perform roadway engineering analysis and support project planning

Project Coordination & Delivery

• Manage project timelines, schedules, and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal teams across civil, environmental, and planning disciplines
• Support delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
• Perform additional engineering duties as needed

Quality Assurance & Review

• Conduct QA/QC reviews of roadway design work
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and engineering records

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Coordinate with public agencies, municipalities, and county stakeholders
• Participate in project meetings and stakeholder discussions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in transportation engineering
• Experience working on transportation projects for:
• State DOT agencies
• Municipalities
• County agencies
• Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads
• Strong understanding of roadway design standards and engineering principles
• Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Experience with public-sector transportation clients
• Experience performing roadway design QA/QC reviews

Our Engineering Services client is looking to hire entry-level CAD Drafters supporting large-scale fiber and data center connectivity projects. This team is experiencing significant growth with project work lined up and is expanding their drafting team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience, structured training, and the ability to own projects from start to finish.

What You’ll Do:

• Create and update CAD drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D for fiber and utility installation projects
• Design underground conduit and aerial routes connecting data centers using GIS data, right-of-way, and parcel boundaries
• Analyze route feasibility by identifying conflicts (utilities, structures, vegetation) using tools like GIS and Google Street View
• Translate field notes, survey data, and project requirements into accurate engineering drawings
• Follow standardized workflows: drafting → quality control → revisions → final submission to municipalities
• Collaborate with engineers, municipalities, and internal teams to gather data and ensure design accuracy
• Take ownership of assigned projects from kickoff through completion

Skills & Qualifications:

Position Overview:

A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking a Superintendent to oversee highway, roadway, and bridge projects.. Projects typically range from $4M–$40M and include highways, turnpikes, residential roadways, roundabouts, and bridge interchanges.

This role is responsible for managing the entire construction lifecycle, from subgrade and embankment earthwork through final asphalt or concrete surface courses. The Superintendent will serve as the primary onsite leader for projects where the company acts as the prime contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Field Operations:

• Lead daily field operations for heavy highway, roadway, and bridge projects
• Supervise foremen, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet aggressive production schedules
• Oversee work from earthwork and utilities through paving and final completion
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production logs, and punch lists
• Coordinate inspections and communicate regularly with Project Management

Safety & Compliance:

• Proficient in Threat Modeling, Architecture Review, Penetration Testing, Code Review, SAST, and DAST.
• Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, and PowerShell.
• Adept at applying security best practices for compliance, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

NOVA Engineering and Environmental is seeking a Marketing Coordinator with a focus on graphic design and social media to support our offices across the Southeast. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a few years of experience or a recent graduate looking to grow within A/E/C marketing. The role blends traditional proposal and marketing support with hands-on graphic design, brand support, and social media execution. The position reports to the Marketing Supervisor and works closely with marketing, business development, and technical teams.

Essential Functions:

The successful candidate will work closely with the various Business Development Associates, Operational Managers and senior staff throughout the company. Primary job responsibilities will include the following:

Marketing & Proposal Support:

• Coordinate and manage the end to end proposal development process, from go/no go through final submission
• Assist with the coordination, development, editing, and production of SOQs, presentations, SF330’s and more using Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office365
• Support proposal strategy sessions and assist with presentation development and production
• Write, edit, and format proposal content, resumes, project descriptions, and boilerplate content using Deltek CRM, Microsoft Office, and Adobe tools
• Maintain proposal content libraries, resumes, project sheets, and boilerplate materials
• Support proposal close out activities, debriefs, and process improvements
• Assist with market research to help offices identify trends, clients, and competitors
• Support regional marketing and business development meetings as needed

Graphic Design & Brand Support:

• Produce and update marketing graphics for proposals, presentations, and collateral in accordance with NOVA brand standards
• Assist with maintaining and growing NOVA’s internal graphics and template library
• Support the development of regional marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, conference displays, and digital assets
• Ensure consistency with corporate branding across all marketing materials

Social Media & Digital Marketing:

• Assist with NOVA’s social media program to support brand awareness, recruiting, and community engagement
• Create and schedule social media content, including graphics and short-form copy, in coordination with the marketing team
• Help track engagement metrics and support reporting on social media performance

Systems & Administration:

• Support the Client, Project, and Employee Database (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint)
• Assist with tracking business opportunities and leads in the CRM
• Help coordinate the renewal of annual contracts and pre-qualification certifications

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Education:

• Minimum 2 years of marketing experience or equivalent (A/E/C industry preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI) and Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat), as well as experience in database management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong quality control skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint Applications, including Deltek Vantagepoint’s CRM Software a plus
• Motivated self-starter with ability to problem solve
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines
• Ability to travel between offices on occasion
