Position Purpose:

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors the registered nurse of the system transfer center should accurately listen and respond appropriately to requests made by transferring physicians, hospitals, and peers. Position Purpose:

About the job: 

The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Staff RN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.

Position Purpose:  

 

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Mount Carmel East has 16 beds. The Registered Nurse (RN) would expect to see cases involving sepsis, covid, pneumonia, diabetes, cardiac arrest, psychological disorders, drug overdoses, surgical, stroke, and more. This unit is family oriented and enjoys getting together for gatherings outside of work.

Position Purpose:

What you will do:

  • In collaboration with the management team provides coaching, direction and supervision of all staff members in house during assigned shift.   • Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from school of nursing. Baccalaureate degree strongly desired.
