Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Door Estimator to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing comprehensive cost estimates, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise will help drive profitable bids and foster strong relationships within the property management and construction industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale commercial projects and smaller repair and replacement jobs, by delivering precise estimates and satisfying customers daily.

Salary Range $65,000-$75,000 + performance bonus

Estimating & Bidding

• Responding to requests for estimates and scheduling site visits
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial projects
• Obtain pricing from vendors and suppliers
• Submit bids and proposals to contractors and customers

Project Coordination

• Work closely with project managers and technicians to ensure accurate scope
• Provide detailed project handoffs after jobs are awarded
• Assist with change orders and revised pricing as needed

Customer Communication

• Communicate with general contractors, property managers, and customers
• Answer technical questions regarding door systems, hardware, and code compliance
• Provide value engineering options when appropriate

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years estimating in construction, commercial doors, hardware, or a related trade
• Knowledge of Division 8 (doors, frames, and hardware) is a strong plus
