The Measurement Products team helps advertisers measure the incremental impact of their Pinterest campaigns and make informed investment decisions. We own and operate core measurement products including Pinterest Conversion Lift (PCL) Studies and Brand Lift Studies.
We build the platform these products run on and are evolving it into our nextgen Measurement Hub, an extensible platform that enables faster product iteration, onboarding of new study types, and deeper integration with Pinterest's enterprise data and experimentation systems. Our mission is to measure true incremental impact and translate it into actionable insights for advertisers and partners.

- Drive AI enablement across the team by building the supporting tooling and processes (CI checks, test strategy, templates), coaching engineers, and ensuring adoption results in sustained improvements to delivery speed and system quality.
- Translate measurement methodology into production systems: partner with Data Science to operationalize study design requirements into pipelines, services, tooling, and guardrails.
- Build "rigor by default" mechanisms: automated data validation, randomization/holdout integrity checks, imbalance diagnostics, and continuous verification/backtesting.
- Raise the bar on data quality and trust: define SLAs, build monitoring and anomaly detection, and lead rootcause analysis for pipeline and study issues.
- Mentor and up level engineers, driving strong technical execution and crossfunctional collaboration.

- Experience in AdTech and measurement products (e.g., conversion lift, brand lift) or adjacent experimentation/analytics platforms.
- Working knowledge of experimentation and causal measurement fundamentals (randomization, holdouts, confounders, significance, power).

Position description
The Pantas and Ting Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (SCET) at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach experiential-based courses in SCET, housed within the College of Engineering, should an opening arise. The number of positions varies from semester to semester (Spring, Summer and Fall) depending on the needs of the department.
UC Berkeley's SCET is the premier institution for the study and practice of entrepreneurship and technology innovation. SCET's mission is to empower innovators to positively change the world and believe mindsets and behaviors matter, diversity adds value, and innovators should be responsible for what they create. Since 2005, SCET has created the foundation of Berkeley's entrepreneurship ecosystem and is known for developing the Berkeley Method, an internationally recognized approach to teaching technology entrepreneurship to undergraduate students, innovation to graduate students, and technology firm leadership to executives and professionals. SCET is where aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators take a deep dive into the world of entrepreneurship and technology innovation. SCET courses offer students the opportunity to learn from experts in their fields, as well as their classmates, and address real-world problems through hands-on group projects. Students have the chance to build networks, learn how to start and grow their own start up, and strengthen transferrable skills in areas such as leadership, teamwork, and communication. The mindsets and skills introduced in SCET classes prepare students to become innovative leaders in their industry, jobs or ventures regardless of the field.
SCET hires a number of qualified professionals and academics to hold temporary lecturer appointments to lend variety and subject matter expertise to our core topics. The topics in our Fall, Spring and Summer curriculum may include but are not limited to: Technology Entrepreneurship, the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Product Management, and other advanced topics and challenge labs in entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology including, but not limited to environmental sustainability, plant based foods, smart cities, future of work, health technology, sports technology, and other emerging technologies and industries.
SCET hires for both lecturer and Teacher Special Program (TSP) positions. TSPs teach short courses on one or more of the topic areas listed. Most TSP courses are taught in a 'bootcamp' format in August and January. Lecturers and TSPs are responsible for the course syllabus, curriculum development and delivery, holding office hours, student assessment through relevant projects, presentations, problem sets, exams, and/or class attendance and participation, and assigning grades.

Position description
The He lab is in the Molecular and Cell Biology department at UC-Berkeley, which encompasses a breadth of disciplines spanning all levels of organization and encompassing diverse organisms. The breath of training, combined with the unique location of Berkeley in the center of biomedical research, offer a nurturing environment for the next-generation scientist to launch on a successful career in biomedical research in academia and industry. The Principal Investigator, Dr. Lin He, was awarded the MacArthur Fellowship (the genius award), the Searle Scholar, a HHMI Faculty Scholar, and is currently a Thomas and Stacey Siebel distinguished chair professor at UC-Berkeley, and a biohub investigator with the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI).
The developmental and physiological complexity of a given organism is not governed by the sheer number of protein-coding genes. In mammals, the numerous functional non-coding elements greatly expand gene regulatory modality and diversify functional reservoir. Using human genetics/genomics, mouse genetics/genomics, cell and molecular biology approaches, the He lab at UC-Berkeley has identified a variety of functional non-coding elements, including transposons and non-coding RNAs. Not only do non-coding elements offer important developmental/physiological functions, they also provide us with a unique angle to discover new biological/cellular processes in development and disease. Combining sophisticated genome engineering and innovative live cell imaging, we have pioneered in vivo studies to elucidate the new cellular functions and molecular mechanisms in development and aging. The discoveries of the He lab have been well recognized by publications in prestigious journals, including Nature, Science and Cell. Currently, there are postdoc openings in two projects.
Transposons in mammalian preimplantation development ~40% of mammalian genome originates from transposons, whose abundance greatly exceeds that of protein genes. While historically viewed as degenerated "parasitic" DNAs, transposons yield numerous functional elements for the host genome. These sequences resulted from ancient invasion confer new mechanisms of gene regulation, generate Neogene/ncRNA functions, and provide raw material for genome innovation. Mammalian preimplantation embryos constitute one of the best systems to study transposon-host interactions, as ~20% of their transcriptome results from transposon induction. We aim to characterize the role of specific transposons in preimplantation embryos.
Transposons in aging and disease While specific transposons are integral components of host biology, most mammalian transposons are potentially detrimental to the host genomes, thus inactivated via degenerative mutations and/or transcriptional/post-transcriptional silencing. Interestingly, aberrant transposon induction has been observed in a variety of pathological conditions, including aging, cancer and infection. We aim to investigate the mechanisms underlying transposon dysregulation during reproductive aging and cancer, and to elucidate the effects of transposon-host interactions that accelerate aging and promote cancer.
Postdoc responsibilities:
1) The postdoc will work with the PI to develop a project in one of the two research directions, to comprehensively read literature, to establish appropriate experimental systems, to learn important technologies, and to execute experiments to advance the project and perform data analyses.
2) The postdoc will meet with the PI on a weekly basis to discuss results, to development experimental plans.
2) The postdoc will work with junior lab members to mentor them on specific experimental techniques .
3) The postdoc will contribute to lab duties, which is evenly distributed among all lab members.

Position description
The Environment
The UC Berkeley Library is an internationally renowned research and teaching facility at one of the nation's premier public universities. A highly diverse and intellectually rich environment, Berkeley serves a campus community of 33,070 undergraduate students, 12,812 graduate students, and 1,525 faculty members. The Library comprises 20 campus libraries, including the Doe Library, the Moffitt Library, the Bancroft Library, the C.V. Starr East Asian Library, and numerous subject specialty libraries. With a collection of more than 12 million volumes and a collections budget of over $15 million, the Library offers extensive resources in all formats and robust services to connect users with the collections and build their research skills.
The Library Data Services Program (LDSP) guides scholars to discover, access, share, and preserve data through dataset acquisition, discovery, and librarian-led instruction and consultations. LDSP works with UC Berkeley librarians and library staff to provide internal professional development and training opportunities to enhance our data management skills and provide data services for our users. LDSP provides data services to all disciplines at UC Berkeley through collaboration with librarians and library staff in the Library's divisions including Arts and Humanities, Instruction Services, Sciences, and Social Sciences.
Responsibilities
The Data Instruction and Outreach Librarian will work in partnership with and under the guidance of the Data Services Librarian in the Library Data Services Program. Librarians and staff in the Library Data Services Program collaborate closely with subject librarians and library staff to provide data support for researchers, faculty, and students who are using data in research, teaching, and learning. This librarian will actively participate in the Library's instruction services-providing consultations, teaching workshops, and designing instructional content.
The Data Instruction and Outreach Librarian will develop and maintain a scaffolded approach to data instruction that includes: supporting novice users, including undergraduate students, who may be unaccustomed to working with data; providing instruction and outreach for the library's licensed datasets and platforms; and collaborating with subject and instruction librarians to teach data literacy, ethics, analysis, and visualization. This position also works to integrate data literacy and data science pedagogical practices into the library's instructional portfolio, with a special focus on undergraduates. Since using AI in data analysis workflows is becoming more common, the librarian will help faculty, researchers, and students use licensed AI tools in conjunction with ethical and legal use of library resources, as well as within the broader University context.
The librarian will engage with the Research Data Management Program. This unique program bridges the UC Berkeley Library and Research IT to conduct outreach related to data management, storage, and sharing. UC Berkeley, through entities like the Library, the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society, the D-Lab, the Berkeley Institute for Data Science, and the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences, actively supports the development of research and classroom environments that champion transparency and reproducibility. The successful incumbent will collaborate with these campus partners and librarians to facilitate open research practices and workflows where possible.
UC Berkeley librarians are expected to participate in library-wide planning and governance and work effectively in a shared decision-making environment. Advancement is partially based upon professional contributions beyond the primary assignment; the successful candidate will show evidence or promise of such contributions to the Library, campus, UC System, and profession.
The UC Berkeley Library is committed to supporting and encouraging respect and empathy, and nurturing a culture where all employees thrive. The Library seeks candidates who recognize and appreciate one another's contributions, expertise, and accomplishments and will strive to provide equitable access to a diverse set of collections and services. For more information, please see the UC Berkeley Library Statement of Values.
UC professional librarians are academic appointees and are represented by an exclusive bargaining agent, the University Council - American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT). This position is in the bargaining unit. Librarians are entitled to appropriate professional development leave, vacation leave, sick leave, and all other benefits granted to non-faculty academic personnel. The University has an excellent retirement system and sponsors a variety of group health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans in addition to other benefits. This is an externally funded appointment.
This position is eligible for some remote work. Exact arrangements are determined in partnership with your supervisor to meet role responsibilities and department needs, and are subject to change.
