Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 7 years of operations management experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically metal stamping or blanking operations.
• Proven experience managing safety, production, maintenance, and quality assurance programs.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and equipment (e.g., CNC, welding, stamping).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma certification is highly desirable).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation - schematics, assembly drawings, operational manuals, safety rules, and standardized work instructions.

Key Areas of Work

Safety:

• Establish, maintain, and enforce rigorous safety standards and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Lead regular safety meetings, training sessions, and audits, promptly addressing hazards and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies, in partnership with HR and safety team.

Production:

• Direct plant operations including production scheduling, staffing, inventory control, and equipment utilization to meet customer demands.
• Monitor daily production activities to meet efficiency, quality, and delivery targets.
• Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies).
• Ensure quality control standards are consistently met.

Maintenance:

• Oversee the plant's preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize repairs, upgrades, and new equipment installations.

Leadership & Management:

• Provide strong leadership to supervisors, production teams, and maintenance personnel, promoting teamwork and clear communication.
• Mentor and develop supervisory and management staff, ensuring growth and progression of the team.
• Foster a positive working environment, maintaining high morale and encouraging accountability among employees.

Strategic Management:

• Collaborate with senior management to define plant objectives aligned with organizational goals.
• Evaluate plant operations regularly to ensure strategic goals are being met and proactively adjust plans, as necessary.
• Lead, train and support supervisors and managers in paint, press, shipping and weld department.

Environmental Monitoring:

• Knowledge of monitoring, permitting, reporting and compliance of stormwater, wastewater, air quality and others.
• Measure and analyze various parameters to assess and control the factory's impact on the environment and ensure worker safety and product quality

Summary:

Under the guidance of the department leadership, this role is responsible for executing production control strategies and tactical plans at the Astemo Berea Plant. The position collaborates with the leadership team to establish priorities and objectives and ensures their effective implementation. This role supports production supervisors as well as direct team members, while acting as a strategic partner to other departments across the organization. This role exercises independent judgment regularly while operating within established guidelines.

Essential Functions:

• Utilize customer product release schedules to plan production flat schedules.
• Daily verification of actual to planned production.
• Implement schedule adjustments as needed to satisfy customer demands & inventory goals.
• Use customer demand & inventory data to produce monthly master schedules.
• Implement the production of new or revised parts (PSW) into production schedules.
• Closely monitor production condition to ensure schedule requirements are met.
• Coordinate & support cross-functional activities related to production.
• Ensure accuracy & target achievement of finished goods & WIP component inventory.
• Maintain item master files & other files/reports pertaining to planning.
• Order components for production plan.
• Ensure timely vendor deliveries (including escalation & problem solving where needed).
• Maintain KANBAN for finished goods.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications (including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and current ERP system). Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2yrs prior relevant experience.

Working Conditions:

• Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift/move up to 40lbs.
• Up to 10% domestic and international may be required as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory setting in accordance with University Health policies and standards. Supports and promotes University Health values to ensure patient/guest relations. Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting. Maintains, facilitates and promotes department policies and standards.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Starting pay varies based on experience; entry up to 2 years, 2-3 years and 4 years or more experience in health care delivery as an LVN. PALS and ACLS certification may be required based on site location.

LICENSURE

Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
