This is a customer-facing, field-focused role responsible for installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of advanced analytical systems across a distributed install base.
Engineers in this role are trusted to operate independently, manage their own service planning and travel, and represent the organization directly with customers throughout North America. - Fluent in FEL process and preferred experience with EPC project work and engineering packages reviews.

Process Technology

- Leads feasibility studies for technology improvement programs.
- Translates laboratory and process development data into equipment and unit designs, process design packages.
Process Safety
- Participates and supports project specific PHA's.
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management is essential.
- Experience working in PSM coverage facilities.
Scale-Up & Process Integration
- Work with appropriate development team(s) to transition successful chemistries from the laboratory to pilot and production scale.
- Use Design of Experiments (DoE) and data-driven methodologies to optimize process conditions and ensure reproducibility.
- Experience working with toller manufacturing as a means to scale up technology advancements is a plus.

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will create/execute resources and programs to continuously improve the satisfaction and loyalty of Spectrum Dynamics' existing and future customers, and provide excellent field service support for DSPECT and VERITON-CT. Responsibilities: Define and execute product and process qualifications following Gas Power Qualification requirements for fabrications and various complex assemblies.
Review and approve Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP), Product and Process Quality Plans (PQP), control plans, and inspection plans for assigned components.
Ensure CTQ (critical-to-quality) requirements, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements are correctly translated into supplier process controls and inspection methods.
Validate first article inspection (FAI) and ongoing product verification; monitor process capability and drive corrective actions where performance is not meeting targets.
Manage and approve Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs) ensuring that risk is assessed, documented, and controlled.
Drive the evaluation and disposition of supplier nonconformances in coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Field teams.
Lead and own containment, rework, and recovery actions at supplier facilities, assembly sites, and wind farm sites; ensure effective closure and documentation of issues.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and FMEA (design and process) with suppliers to implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct quality system, product, and process audits at supplier sites; verify compliance with QMS requirements, procedures, and applicable industry standards.
Required Skills: Ability to read assembly drawings, blueprints, and custom fabrication.
Experience with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Familiarity with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Quality Auditing.
