Lead Food Safety Excellence Across a Multi-Site Distribution Network

We’re a rapidly expanding third-party logistics (3PL) company specializing in food distribution, and we’re looking for a seasoned Regional Quality Control Manager to drive food safety and regulatory compliance across our warehouse and kitchen operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep experience in USDA and FDA inspections, HACCP-certified expertise, and a passion for operational integrity.

You’ll be based out of either Allentown, PA or Ruther Glen, VA, but your impact will be felt across the country. What You’ll Do

  • Develop, implement, and supervise comprehensive food safety and quality programs across multiple distribution centers and kitchen operations
  • Conduct scheduled and unannounced audits, inspections, and peer reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Lead HACCP, Food Safety, and Food Defense teams at each location
  • Ensure all sites meet USDA, FDA, SQF, GMP, and customer-specific audit protocols
  • Oversee environmental and microbiological testing programs, including issue investigation and resolution
  • Manage and mentor QA supervisors and quality control technicians across multiple facilities
  • Introduce and maintain food safety frameworks including pesticide residue control, sanitation practices, pest management, and food defense protocols
  • Plan and execute bi-annual mock recalls and follow up on corrective actions
  • Analyze quality control data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement
  • Serve as a liaison with government regulators, customers, and vendors regarding food safety and quality assurance matters
  • Support inventory disposition decisions and ensure proper documentation and reporting across all sites

What You Bring

  • HACCP Certification (required)
  • Experience with USDA and FDA inspections and regulatory compliance
  • Proven success managing multi-site food distribution or manufacturing operations
  • SQF Practitioner and Food Defense Certification preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing managers and cross-functional teams
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and WMS systems
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and lead with integrity

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in varied temperature conditions typical of distribution centers
  • Comfortable sitting at a computer for extended periods and navigating warehouse environments
  • Must be able to travel extensively (50–75%) across regional and national sites
  • Note: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required and the facility is only closed three days each year.

Why Join Us

This is your opportunity to lead food safety strategy for a company that’s redefining how fresh food moves across the country. You’ll be part of a mission-driven team that values accountability, innovation, and operational excellence—and you’ll play a critical role in protecting product integrity and consumer trust.
