This role is responsible for supporting the month-end close process, maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring tax compliance.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
Support tax compliance efforts, including sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings.
Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Assist with process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-3 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in a mid-to-large company.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
