Compensation and Benefits:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with many specialists to coordinate and optimize patient care.
  • Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.
  • Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice.
  • Performs minor interventional procedures within scope of practice.
  • Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within the scope of practice.
  • Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
  • Assists the Interventional Radiology physicians in the evaluation, management and treatment of patients.
  • Assists the Interventional Radiologist in the performance of procedures using radiologic guidance
  • Work will be coordinated with other APP's and will support multiple radiologists.
  • Provides coverage to other locations, as needed
  • Other duties as needed

Necessary Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including use of information systems and Google based programs
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong oral communication skills including both phone and in person
  • Strong patient care skills and diplomacy
  • Experience in radiology or medical terminology

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Active NY medical license and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
  • Active BLS and ACLS.
  • Radiologic Technologist certification strongly preferred

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • May be asked to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Standing, walking, sitting, keyboard use for long periods of time
  • Ability to listen and communicate with patients face to face or over the phone
  • Will be required to read, write, work in a fast-paced office setting
