We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the design, documentation, deployment, and commissioning of mission-critical electronic security systems. This role plays a key part across the full project lifecycle, partnering closely with engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in compliance with all engineering standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and manage technical submittals for large-scale security installation projects
• Develop engineering plans, implementation strategies, and failover designs
• Support bidding efforts including takeoffs, bills of materials, and cost estimates
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and trade partners to align designs and installation requirements
• Track RFIs, revisions, submittals, schedules, and project documentation
• Lead design reviews and contribute to process improvements and technical knowledge sharing
• Provide on-site support including site surveys, pre-install testing, and field commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial preferred)
• 7+ years of relevant design and deployment experience (plus if experience is in mission-critical facilities)
• Experience creating detailed engineering plans, implementation plans, and failover strategies
• Strong AutoCAD experience (required)
• Revit experience highly preferred
• Familiarity with SolidWorks is helpful but insufficient on its own for this role
• Experience with BIM tools (BIM 360 or similar) is a plus
• Experience with scheduling, job cost tracking, and project coordination
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Description:

· Develop test procedures to evaluate in-vehicle for NVH performance.

· Acquire and interpret NVH data to guide design decisions and optimize vehicle acoustic performance.

· Work closely with Vehicle Integration, Body, Chassis, and Thermal teams to drive the design for NVH.

· Support target setting and cascade process for vehicle-level NVH performance.

· Perform - at a vehicle and component level - testing and assessments to improve airborne and structure-borne noise performance in prototypes and production vehicles.

Qualifications:

· Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field. Master’s or PhD preferred.

· 2-6+ years of relevant experience.

· Strong fundamentals in structural dynamics, acoustics, and digital signal processing.

· Proficiency in using NVH data acquisition systems, accelerometers, microphones.

· Experience in performing modal testing and order analysis.

· Strong fundamental understanding of digital signal processing, psychoacoustics, and the use of sound quality metrics to record, track and report NVH performance in an appropriate manner.

· Experience of Siemens TestLab and/or Artemis Suite.

Preferred:

· Previous experience taking a vehicle from concept to production.

· Experience in NVH characterization and fault detection using microphones, acoustic cameras, particle velocity probes, etc...

• Apply systems safety methodologies as defined by industry standards

• Develop new processes / methodologies used to certify autonomous / remote operations

• Perform safety activities in coordination with design, development and verification of aviation systems including: Generate safety artifacts such as FHAs & Safety Assessments for aircraft, systems and equipment. As a Harness Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the system integration team and will report to the System Integration Engineering Manager. The system integration team is a small group of highly motivated engineers designing, integrating, testing, and flying advanced mechanical and electrical systems. The harness engineer is a very cross-functional role at the convergence of the avionics, mechanical, integration, and production teams, with significant hands-on work designing, building, integrating, and testing our harnesses, enclosures, and mounting hardware; expect to broaden your design and application experience.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Harness Engineer you will work with the avionics, mechanical, and integration teams to define the harnessing design, including routing, component selection, and manufacturing and integration processes. You'll be responsible for the detailed design of both flight and test harnesses, and you'll be working with the production technicians and A&Ps to get the harnesses built and installed on the aircraft. You'll have the opportunity to design, install, and test your hardware on a remotely operated aircraft, and you'll be an instrumental part of how our hardware teams come together on the airplane.

Basic Success Criteria

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

• 2+ years experience in electrical harness design

• Ability to route harnessing (both in CAD and physically in the airplane) in a strategic manner

• Experience working with connectors, backshells, EMI shielding, and cable/wire protection methods

We enjoy cradle-to-grave hardware ownership and hands-on test, iteration, and deployment of our designs. As a Sr Avionics Hardware Engineer, you will lead development of electrical components and sub-systems across our airborne and test platforms from the circuit-board level up through integrated systems and everything in between.

Responsibilities

In your role as Sr Avionics Hardware Engineer, you will design, analyze, document, test, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies at the circuit board through integrated electro-mechanical level. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing and test engineers as the expert on your hardware. You will drive improvements to the hardware through benchtop, environmental, and on-aircraft testing, and perform root-cause investigations to characterize, document, and rectify anomalous behavior in a safety-critical environment. You will contribute to continuous improvement of the team's development processes and practices through technical leadership.

Basic Success Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of full-lifecycle hardware development experience in a professional environment

• Experience developing and simulating complex and manufacturable printed circuit board assemblies using tools such as Altium Designer and SPICE

• Ability to work within a team, including excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to methodically diagnose, document, and solve electronic hardware problems

Preferred Criteria

• Advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering

• Experience with aviation development assurance standards (e.g. RTCA/DO-254 for Level A/B items or equivalent)

• Experience designing electronics to meet rigorous environmental standards (aerospace, military, automotive, or harsh industrial)

• Deep expertise in high-speed digital design, mixed-signal design, RF design, and/or power electronics design

• Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB for analysis, data review, and test setup scripting

• Ability to work both independently and as a leader of a high performing team
