USBP is hiring immediately to fill full-time, entry-level, career positions in federal law enforcement where your prior experience in public safety, security, military police or law enforcement may qualify.

Qualifications You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist Occupational Therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients under their care. Help patients with exercises and activities to improve strength, balance, and mobility.
- Observe and document patients' progress and report to the Occupational Therapist.
- Instruct patients and family members on proper techniques for exercises and equipment use.
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain clean and organized treatment areas.
- Adhere to all healthcare and safety standards.
- Participate in regular training and educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- State licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, principles, and practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities.
- Monitor residents’ responses to therapy and promptly report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate residents and families on exercises, techniques, and use of assistive devices.
- Document daily treatments, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other team members to deliver coordinated care.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

- Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of practice.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
