About the Role

We are looking for an Event Coordination Specialist for a full-time position located in Lexington, MA, to support our successful and expanding business during our next growth phase.

The role is centered around planning and coordination of our customer-facing activities such as conferences, symposia, and webinars. You will communicate across marketing, product management, business development and leadership teams to target, develop, organize, and coordinate such events.

Key Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Manager, Starbucks is responsible for the overall operation and performance of the licensed Starbucks café inside Macy’s. The Manager ensures an efficient, professional, safe, and profitable business while upholding Starbucks brand standards and Macy’s Foods Division expectations. The Manager oversees daily operations, drives sales and profitability, and fosters a positive, inclusive team culture. Through strong leadership, operational excellence, and partnership with both Starbucks and Macy’s leadership, the Manager delivers an exceptional customer experience and ensures the café consistently meets brand, quality, and financial goals.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee all aspects of café operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and brand-right environment that meets Starbucks, Macy’s Foods Division, and Health Department standards.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop Supervisors and Baristas, building a motivated and high-performing team.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by modeling Starbucks customer connection standards and Macy’s service expectations.
  • Ensure consistent preparation, presentation, and merchandising of all food and beverage products in alignment with Starbucks standards.
  • Develop and execute schedules and labor plans that optimize productivity, control costs, and maintain excellent service levels.
  • Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and invoice processing to achieve targeted food and beverage costs and stay within budget.
  • Review financial reports and take appropriate action to meet sales, expense, and profit goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations while maintaining a clean and organized café environment.
  • Oversee cash handling, point-of-sale operations, and adherence to all financial policies and procedures.
  • Build strong partnerships with Macy’s leadership and Starbucks District Managers to align on strategy, goals, and operational priorities.
  • Serve as a role model in professionalism, appearance, communication, and alignment with company values.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Who You Are

  • Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of retail, restaurant, or food service management experience are encouraged to apply. Starbucks or Starbucks licensed café experience preferred.
  • Must be ServSafe certified or have food handler permit as required by state or local health department.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain Barista Basics, Barista Trainer, Daily Ops, and LS Leader certifications for Starbucks Licensed leaders within introductory period.
  • This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands. Involves remaining in a stationary position for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. May involve reaching above eye level. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.

About the Role

We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to lead the Jones Road team in the opening and day-to-day operations for our brand new Seaport, Boston, MA location, coming soon. The ideal candidate is energetic and experienced in makeup artistry with a passion for clean, natural beauty to assist and educate customers while providing the highest level of customer experience. The retail store manager will manage front- and back-of-house store operations to create a best-in-class customer experience, train and mentor the store team of makeup artists, and consistently increase in-store sales performance.


Store Management

  • Sell and educate in-store to hit and exceed sales goals
  • Ensure a seamless client experience across all touch points
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative feedback and insights on a daily and weekly basis and share them with leadership
  • Collect key KPIs relating to store performance
  • Drive store events and initiatives and work in collaboration with the Marketing team
  • Oversee store services and manage makeup appointment scheduling


Team Management

  • Mentor and train store MUAs in new product knowledge education, artistry and personal development
  • Build a team of high performing individuals that create a welcoming environment
  • Optimize workforce management by create schedules, maintaining budgets, approving timesheets, time off requests and managing payroll
  • Monitor individual retail team member performance and deliver consistent feedback
  • Adeptly manage and diffuse any conflicts between employees and customers
  • Ensure company policies are being upheld


Store Maintenance

  • Ensure all store areas are consistently stocked, orderly, and clean
  • Ensure proper inventory receiving processes and execution of inventory counts
  • Maintain store inventory and supplies and report any needs to the Supply Chain team
  • Report any store maintenance needs to Retail Operations
  • Perform store opening and closing duties on a daily basis
  • Maintain visual standards and overall aesthetic of the store


Qualifications

  • Experience in makeup artistry, retail management, hospitality, or a customer-facing role required at an managerial level
  • 5+ years experience in leading a team required
  • Passion for the Jones Road mission and products, and understanding of the Jones Road clean beauty aesthetic
  • Customer-centric mindset, with strong interpersonal, problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Proficient in generating weekly reporting, scheduling, and project management to drive sales
  • High sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Aptitude with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and POS systems
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs
  • Resides in or proximate to Boston, MA


Pay Range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 a year annually.
