GENERAL SUMMARY:

Function as a Cashier and/or Stocker and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs. * Collect payment from customer and make change.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

* Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

* Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

* Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

* Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.

* Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.

Job Description

The Territory Representative is responsible for developing new business in the commercial building segments with GC’s, builders, architects, installers, and 3rd party consultants and converting or growing loyalty to increase sales of the product portfolio.

Basic Duties

The Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology Program is a great opportunity for anyone interested in going to school to learn a skilled trade in a high-demand industry. Students will go through a two-year curriculum where they will rotationally attend Illinois Central College, located in East Peoria, for 8 weeks and then attend an Altorfer branch to complete an 8 week internship. This rotation continues throughout the duration of the program. A few of the courses they will take are Fundamentals of Hydraulics, Caterpillar Engine Fuel Systems, Fundamentals of Electrical Systems, Diagnostic Testing, and Undercarriage/Final Drives.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in a warehouse/shop environment. May on a continuous basis walk, climb on and off equipment, bend and lift up to 75-100lbs. May be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields) when needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
