Key Responsibilities – Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- Provide safe, evidence-based anesthesia care for a variety of cases including GI, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and OB
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, develop anesthesia plans, and obtain informed consent as appropriate
- Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia while continuously monitoring physiologic status and responding to changes in condition
- Manage airways, ventilation, vascular access, and hemodynamic support as clinically indicated
- Deliver post-anesthesia care recommendations and coordinate smooth handoffs with perioperative and PACU teams
- Document anesthesia care clearly and thoroughly in Epic in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Practice within the care model (CRNA only—no supervision) while collaborating with the broader perioperative team
- Participate in call coverage as scheduled/needed and respond to urgent or emergent anesthesia needs
