This position is located at our SOUTHBRIDGE, MA. facility and may be filled on the first, second or third shift, depending upon the ideal candidate. An integral member of the production team, the Assembler will use technical directives, work instructions, blueprints & schematics to build to specification, critical components for batteries used for aerospace, defense and commercial aviation applications. This position will also liaise with engineers on troubleshooting and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety or tools and equipment
- Collect materials and equipment needed to begin assembly process
- Perform inspections and measure parts using basic measuring tools
- Achieve applied and earned production rates to standard and communicate issues that could cause unfavorable rates
- Perform basic preventative maintenance, as trained, for required tools and equipment
- Document actions by completing required production documentation, both written and electronic
- Working as part of team, accomplish department goals
- Adhere to company safety requirements and wear PPE as directed / required
- Read, interpret and follow detailed instruction to complete the highest quality product
- Other duties may be assigned as business needs dictate
Qualifications
Requirements:
To succeed in this position:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of mechanical assembly experience is preferred
- Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100 standards for quality control preferred
- Strong technical, mechanical, and or electrical aptitude
- Fine motor skills, and the ability to work with small parts and components
- Effective and professional communication skills (verbal and written) and highly organized
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required

The salary range for this position is $18.50-$20.50 an hour and represents the minimum and maximum for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to: prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications and internal equity.

Manufacturing Engineer – Advanced Detector Systems
Location: Sturbridge, MA (100% Onsite)
Salary: Up to $140K depending on experience

Position Summary
We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to support electrical testing, troubleshooting, and production of advanced detector technologies, including microchannel‑based devices and electron‑multiplying components. This role is highly technical and hardware‑focused, requiring daily work on the production floor within an ISO 7 cleanroom.
You will ensure detector assemblies meet stringent electrical, vacuum, and performance specifications while supporting test station operations, conducting full detector teardowns, and maintaining test capability during high‑priority manufacturing periods. This position also plays a key role in transitioning from manual testing to more automated systems.
What You’ll Do
Electrical Testing & Data Integrity
- Perform electrical testing on detector components using high‑vacuum systems (10⁻⁷ to 10⁻⁶ Torr).
- Maintain test stations and ensure data accuracy and traceability.
- Identify and escalate anomalies in test results.
Troubleshooting & Failure Analysis
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and vacuum‑related issues in detector assemblies.
- Conduct full mechanical and electrical teardowns.
- Investigate failure modes such as low gain, shorts, contamination, vacuum leaks, alignment issues, or component damage.
Manufacturing Support
- Work directly with cleanroom operators to resolve production issues quickly.
- Update work instructions, procedures, and test documentation.
- Train operators and new engineers on testing, teardown, and handling methods.
- Support yield improvement and scrap‑reduction initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and report yields, scrap rates, and defect trends.
- Provide day‑to‑day support across multiple product lines; occasional off‑shift work may be required.
Process Control & Continuous Improvement
- Use MINITAB for basic SPC, trend analysis, and yield monitoring.
- Support the transition from manual to semi‑automated test equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve test repeatability, throughput, and data capture.
- Contribute to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and SPC implementation.
- Promote adherence to ISO 9001‑based quality systems.
Equipment & Fixture Support
- Maintain and configure high‑voltage power supplies, vacuum controllers, electrometers, oscilloscopes, and custom fixtures.
- Assist in modifying fixtures or creating temporary setups to maintain production continuity.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required due to ITAR regulations).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Physics, or related field).
- Hands‑on experience with high‑voltage systems, high‑vacuum equipment, precision instrumentation, or cleanroom operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working directly with hardware.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues methodically.
- Strong technical communication skills—written and verbal.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MRP systems, databases, and analytical/statistical tools.
- Ability to work full‑time onsite in an ISO 7 cleanroom environment.
- Willingness to learn specialized detector physics and test methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in semiconductor, photonics, vacuum systems, electron optics, or detector technologies.
- Experience with SPC tools, MINITAB, or basic statistical analysis.

Position Description
Job Summary:
The Yard Person/Plant Operator is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the quarry site and assisting in the efficient operation of quarry processing equipment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, organized, and productive working environment while adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Essential Functions:
- Results Matter. Safely load, unload, stockpile, and organize aggregate materials using loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to support efficient quarry operations.
- Dedication. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot quarry processing equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and screens, to ensure optimal production and compliance with quality standards.
- Committed to Serve. Perform routine mechanical maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on quarry equipment, utilizing stick/MIG welding, fabrication, and cutting skills to minimize downtime.
- Determined. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the quarry yard, plant areas, and equipment to promote operational efficiency and safety.

Position Requirements
Requirements, Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant industry experience in quarry operations, construction materials, mining, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred.
- Stick/MIG welding, fabrication, and cutting experience preferred.
- High mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment required.
- Prior experience as a Quarry Plant Operator or similar role strongly preferred.
- Experience operating and supporting maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, loaders, forklifts, or similar heavy equipment.
- Strong work ethic with a demonstrated history of punctuality, reliability, and consistent attendance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license.

Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator: You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.
Warehouse Porter: You will be responsible for general cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility while adhering to safety procedures. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.
Warehouse Replenishment: You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns: You will confirm accuracy of product and work with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages. You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues. You will be manually unloading trucks and palletizing products. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Warehouse Returns: You will be operating material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse. You will be matching item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items, checking in returned product and tagging it appropriate. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.
Shipping: You’ll be responsible for organizing, stacking, and shrink-wrapping customer orders on pallets. You’ll be loading trucks manually; lifting, lowering, and carrying product in a fast-paced environment and stacking empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace as you go.
Please note, as an SC2 associate you may be moved into any of the above roles, or SC1 roles, as needed.

Bulk Selector: You will be responsible for selecting product, pulling, and packing totes, as well as cutting cases of merchandise and/or stocking product. You will move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt while adhering to safety procedures.
Custodian: You will be responsible for general cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility. In this role, you will clean and sanitize restrooms, vacuum, and remove spots from carpet, sweep and mop floors, clean and dust chairs, partition walls and other miscellaneous furniture, clean windows and brass and collect and remove trash from the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.
Please note, as an SC1 associate you may be moved into any of the above roles as needed.

- In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists the pharmacist in the performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assists with and coaches pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in the operation of the pharmacy cash registers.
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
- Develops strong relationships with most valuable customers.
Operations
- Under the supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Reviews and complies with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions. Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
- Reports, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
- Strictly adheres to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
- Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required. Takes customer to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.
- Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
- Processes (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
- Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques, and files claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.
- May assist pharmacist in administering clinical services including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other clinical services as required; assists pharmacy staff in coordination of clinical services, Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.
- Assists Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, by medical provider detailing and outreach to health groups, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for enhancing growth opportunities.
- Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. Otherwise, earns PTCB certification as condition of promotion to senior technician.
- Attends training requested by Manager and acquires continuing education credits. Maintains knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Prefer good math skills so they can fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing medications.
- Prefer good computer skills.
- Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
- Prefer PTCB certification.
