Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Alaska

Position: Physician Anesthesiology (Locums)
Location: Ketchikan, AK
Dates of Coverage:

• November 29 December 6
• December 21 December 27
• Open dates through May 2026

Assignment Details:

• Setting: Inpatient hospital-based anesthesiology
• Shift: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 3:30 PM with rotating weeknight call
• Call: Yes, 24-hour pager call
• Patient Demographics: All ages
• Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital
• Average Patient Contact: 5 15 patients/day

Case Types Include:

• General OR cases
• OB department support
• Emergency Department support
• Occasional A-Line & Central Line placements

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required (may consider BE within 3 years of training)
• Licensure: Active Alaska (AK) medical license and DEA required at submission
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • NRP & ATLS preferred
• EMR: EPIC Proficiency highly preferred

Additional Information:

• Reason for Coverage: Gap in provider coverage
• FTEs Needed: 1 Full-Time Equivalent
• Credentialing Timeline: 60 days (Temps available for clean files)
• Travel & Lodging: Fully covered by client
