Polaris has a cGMP facility producing biological study drugs to support all Polaris Group clinical trials at various stages in the USA, Europe, and the Asian-Pacific region.The lead project of the company is now in clinical trials for patients with different types of cancer including mesothelioma, sarcoma, and glioblastoma. Polaris is seeking candidates to help with the production of this protein drug as well as the production of products for our clients and partners.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Quality Control Analyst, under direct or minimal supervision, is responsible for performing biochemical, physical, and chemical evaluations of process development, lot release, and stability samples compliant with cGMP guidelines. The Analyst works independently on assays that he/she has mastered. This position requires willingness to undergo training on more advanced analytical methods and always employs laboratory safety policies. The Analyst will be responsible for the timely completion of assignments. Good record keeping, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. The analyst must be willing to work overtime as required.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs, under direct or minimal supervision, biochemical/physical/chemical analyses of test samples under cGMP to meet specified timelines.
• Reviews test data for accuracy, data integrity, system suitability, and conformance against defined criteria/specifications.
• Provides technical support with troubleshooting of test methods, as needed.
• Identify and contribute to OOS/OOE/OOT investigations related to testing performed.
• Initiate and author deviation and laboratory investigations.
• Maintains the laboratory in an inspection-ready state.
• Develops and maintains proficiency in a broad range of trained test methods.
• Train analysts on test methods and procedures.
• Responsible for authoring Change Control records and leading the revision of written procedures as assigned.
• Holds self and others responsible to abide by department and company policies and practices.
• Adheres to cGMP, 21CFR, USP, EP, ICH, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage reagent and equipment inventory for assigned areas of responsibilities.
• Responsible for sampling and testing of incoming raw materials

SKILLS

• Strong working knowledge of cGMP regulations, including 21CFR 210 & 211, USP, EP, and ICH.
• Ability to follow written instructions and to perform tasks with direct or minimal supervision.
• Works independently as well as in a team environment.
• Familiarity with use of a computer: e.g., Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Good written, verbal, and communication skills.
• Strong documentation skills a must. The analyst must develop skills in the operation and routine maintenance of various analytical instruments and computers.

The analyst must develop the skills necessary to understand the operation of the equipment and gain knowledge of the equipment used for testing and to use these skills in the event of an unexpected result caused by equipment or reagent failure that warrants a laboratory investigation. Experience with Protein analytics, SDS-PAGE, separations technology for HPLC, Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) software such as OpenLab, subvisible particles testing (USP ), and CCIT preferred. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

QUALIFICATIONS

B. S./B. A. in Science/Related Field (major in biology-biochemistry-chemistry). Minimum of 5 years of relevant laboratory experience is desired.

Process Engineer I

Summary:

This position is located at Lonza’s production facility in Vacaville, California. The production facility makes pharmaceutical proteins from mammalian cells using large-scale production techniques. This temporary contract position provides hands-on technical support for Process Analytical Technology (PAT) systems deployed on the manufacturing floor at a large-scale biopharmaceutical facility. PAT systems play a critical role in monitoring mammalian cell culture processes by measuring key parameters such as cell density, viability, and metabolite concentrations. Maintaining these systems in a reliable, ready-to-use state is essential for ensuring consistent manufacturing performance.

In this role, you will support day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and repair of PAT instruments used in GMP manufacturing. You will work closely with the Frontline Upstream (FLUS) System Owner, Manufacturing, and Instrumentation staff to assess system issues, perform equipment health checks, execute planned improvements, and assist with investigations into unplanned events. This position supports the increased workload associated with the deployment of several new PAT systems in parallel with existing instruments. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced PAT used to support mammalian cell culture and purification operations. The FLUS and Instrumentation groups provide technical support for a wide range of analytical instruments used to monitor cell growth, metabolite profiles, and process performance throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities/activities may include, but not limited to:

• Performing routine maintenance, calibration checks, and system readiness activities for PAT instruments such as cell counters and metabolic analyzers (e.g., Cedex Bio, Cedex HiRes, Cedex Cobas).

• Supporting manufacturing operations by responding to system-related issues, troubleshooting instrument performance, and documenting observed problems.

• Assisting in the investigation of unplanned equipment events using structured problem-solving tools and contributing to root cause assessments.

• Conducting equipment health monitoring and contributing to reliability improvement activities to increase system uptime.

• Executing planned equipment changes, minor upgrades, and configuration updates under the direction of the PAT System Owner.

• Reviewing and interpreting instrument data to identify basic trends or abnormalities.

• Supporting adherence to data integrity principles and helping maintain data consistency within systems such as Smartline Data Cockpit.

• Collaborating with Manufacturing, FLUS, Automation, QA, and vendors to ensure systems are functioning as intended.

• Assisting with documentation updates, tracking of work activities, and preparing technical summaries as needed.

• Working independently to accomplish assigned tasks while keeping stakeholders informed of progress.

Education and Experience:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D in an engineering or analytical/scientific discipline.

• Prior hands-on experience with analytical systems is required.

• Experience using cell counters and metabolite analyzers (Cedex Bio, Cedex HiRes, Cedex Cobas) in GMP Manufacturing or QC Labs preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) as applied to biopharmaceutical manufacturing or similar regulated industries.

• General understanding of biotech analytical methods and laboratory practices.

• Experience troubleshooting analytical instruments and interpreting equipment performance data.

Position Summary:

The RT Vent Field Clinician is a Respiratory Therapist providing respiratory patient care to Vent patients for optimal outcomes. Provides respiratory care to patients in alternate sites in accordance with AdaptHealth’s policies and procedures. Respiratory care will be preventative, rehabilitative, and palliative in nature. The RT will utilize all the resources available within the agency and community to accomplish care objectives. This position will provide education and care to the patient and communicate with team, physicians and referral sources and other patient agencies ensuring prompt attention to patient care issues.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

• Utilizes various sources of information to attain greater competence about his or her position, including attending educational events (including attending optional in-services) and asking questions.
• Utilizes acquired knowledge to increase his or her competencies.
• Consistently demonstrates ability to adequately complete all documentation and charting procedures in compliance with company policy and procedures.
• Maintains complete and accurate patient files by updating all documents per company policy and procedures.

• Ensures accuracy of prescriptions and plan of care was followed and documented. Also reviews delivery tickets, home inspection, ventilator check, and patient equipment competencies are complete and documented.
• Maintains proficient knowledge of ventilator patients including compliance software, new technology, units, and supplies supported by Adapthealth.
• Ability to demonstrate and instruct on use of vent units and supplies. Ability to make decisions for patients based on compliance data and assessment.
• Communicates with team, physicians and referral sources and other patient agencies ensuring prompt attention to patient care issues.
• Maintains working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and other third-party payer guidelines related to ventilation.
• Electronically documents patient care activity, intervention provided and all communication regarding the patient. Documentation is accurate, complete and follows company standards.
• Appropriate steps taken to ensure recommendations and orders sent are acknowledged and followed up in a timely manner.
• Responsible for accuracy, clarity, and timeliness of verbal and written communications as it relates to role.
• Responsible for documentation that supports data collection to track and trend outcomes.
• Assists in establishing clinical documentation when needed for third party reimbursement or justification.
• Uses knowledge in working with referral sources to educate about best practice standards.
