*Position Description*

The Shop Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel equipment, fleet vehicles, trailers, Serco 300 loaders, front‑end loaders, skid steers, and other shop machinery. Core duties include performing inspections, completing preventive maintenance, and conducting repairs such as brake and airbag replacements, airline fixes, and engine component repairs on semi-trucks and equipment. The role also involves diagnosing and correcting vehicle issues, making necessary adjustments, and keeping accurate maintenance records. Additionally, this position provides support in maintaining wood‑chipping equipment and conveyor systems as needed.

*Major Areas of Responsibilities*

· Perform brake and airbag replacements and repair air lines.

· Repair conveyor belts, motors, bearings, and pulleys in the conveyor system.

· Inspect vehicles, equipment, and trailers to identify wear, damage, and needed repairs.

· Complete preventive maintenance, component upgrades, corrosion control, and winterization.

· Diagnose and repair deficiencies across major systems including electrical, A/C, fuel, emissions, brakes, steering, and hydraulics.

· Evaluate, repair, and replace tires as needed.

· Ensure compliance with federal and state engine, safety, and emissions standards.

· Fabricate and repair parts using MIG and stick welding.

· Maintain accurate service, repair, and preventive maintenance records.

· Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain shop equipment and supplies.

· Perform occasional local field repairs on hydraulic and diesel equipment.

· Control costs by using warranties and evaluating parts/service options.

· Maintain inventory, order supplies, and verify deliveries.

· Continue technical development by staying current on industry practices and regulations.

· Support department needs by taking initiative and adapting to new tasks.

· Repair or replace manual tarping systems on tipper trailers.

*Minimum Qualifications*

· High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training preferred.

· 1+ year of experience as a diesel mechanic for semis and trailers.

· Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL preferred (no major violations in last 3 years).

· Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills across required systems.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

· Effective English reading and writing skills.

· Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

This Project Manager is integral to the management of the current year Capital Project budget and ensuring projects are managed per the refinery's designated processes.

This position will manage multiple projects, typically ranging in value of
***MM to
***MM.

Projects are focused on sustaining maintenance capital, reliability improvements, process efficiency and opportunity expansions with multi-discipline teams.

Project Managers are responsible to manage project elements through the design, construction, and commissioning phases to assure cost effective and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities: Lead project management activities including oversight of Engineering Provider (EP) detailed design deliverables, constructability reviews, project risk, change and schedule management Ensure utilization of SRC design specifications and consult with refinery Operations and engineering Subject Matter Experts Facilitate procurement, and fabrication, and construction activities including reviewing scope of supply, bid lists, request for quotation, technical and commercial evaluations, and purchase requisitions Ensure contracted services adherence to cost estimates, schedule targets and quality expectations utilizing change management processes Deliverables: Write scopes of work and request for proposal for EP services and contribute to the bidding process Host project meetings for engineering and design efforts through a Stage Gate process Provide executive level reports for Stage Gate approval and project status

The Electrical/Instrumentation (& Analyzer) Planner/Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating Instrumentation, Electrical, and Analyzer (IEA) work scope during refinery turnarounds and other events.

This position works closely with maintenance, engineering, operations, and contractors to ensure all IEA activities are properly scoped, planned, scheduled, and executed safely within schedule.

This individual will own the process from beginning to end and be accountable for all IEA project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities Assist with all IEA scope development Assess resource and material needs for approved scope Build and manage work packages within IPS Work with Lead Planner and Material Coordinator to procure services and materials Review and negotiate staffing plans for all IEA resources Perform quality control on all IEA materials when received Review turnaround work lists and coordinate IEA activities including instrument calibration, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, electrical equipment, and control systems Coordinate loop checks, functional testing, and perform QA sign off on all IEA scope items Ensure proper isolation, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety procedures are followed Review, escalate, and track instrumentation and electrical inspection findings that may affect turnaround scope or schedule Track progress of IEA activities and provide daily turnaround status updates to management and scheduler Support troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical issues discovered during the turnaround Participate in turnaround planning meetings, readiness reviews, and post-turnaround evaluations Ensure all documentation, calibration records, and work completion records are properly recorded and closed out Act as TAR POC for all IEA matters Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Associate's degree or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, Industrial Electronics, or related field preferred Experience/Qualification Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas facilities Minimum 3 years of experience planning or coordinating instrumentation and/or electrical maintenance work Instrumentation Technician or Electrical Technician background preferred Experience with process analyzers (gas chromatographs, oxygen analyzers, sulfur analyzers, etc.) preferred Strong understanding of process instrumentation, electrical systems, and process analyzers used in refinery operations Experience with DCS systems, PLCs, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and field instrumentation Experience with scoping out IEA for projects and turnarounds Familiarity with turnaround planning processes and execution Ability to coordinate multiple craft disciplines in a fast-paced turnaround environment Strong communication, organization, and scheduling skills Experience with DCS platforms Additional Requirements Ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends during turnaround execution Must be able to work in an industrial refinery environment including climbing, walking units, and accessing equipment Must comply with all refinery safety policies and site access requirements 40 hour work week, with OT required during execution phase On site in Superior, WI We are looking for local candidates only at this time (no per diem) Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
