*Position Description*

The Shop Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel equipment, fleet vehicles, trailers, Serco 300 loaders, front‑end loaders, skid steers, and other shop machinery. Core duties include performing inspections, completing preventive maintenance, and conducting repairs such as brake and airbag replacements, airline fixes, and engine component repairs on semi-trucks and equipment. The role also involves diagnosing and correcting vehicle issues, making necessary adjustments, and keeping accurate maintenance records. Additionally, this position provides support in maintaining wood‑chipping equipment and conveyor systems as needed.

*Major Areas of Responsibilities*

· Perform brake and airbag replacements and repair air lines.

· Repair conveyor belts, motors, bearings, and pulleys in the conveyor system.

· Inspect vehicles, equipment, and trailers to identify wear, damage, and needed repairs.

· Complete preventive maintenance, component upgrades, corrosion control, and winterization.

· Diagnose and repair deficiencies across major systems including electrical, A/C, fuel, emissions, brakes, steering, and hydraulics.

· Evaluate, repair, and replace tires as needed.

· Ensure compliance with federal and state engine, safety, and emissions standards.

· Fabricate and repair parts using MIG and stick welding.

· Maintain accurate service, repair, and preventive maintenance records.

· Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain shop equipment and supplies.

· Perform occasional local field repairs on hydraulic and diesel equipment.

· Control costs by using warranties and evaluating parts/service options.

· Maintain inventory, order supplies, and verify deliveries.

· Continue technical development by staying current on industry practices and regulations.

· Support department needs by taking initiative and adapting to new tasks.

· Repair or replace manual tarping systems on tipper trailers.

*Minimum Qualifications*

· High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training preferred.

· 1+ year of experience as a diesel mechanic for semis and trailers.

· Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL preferred (no major violations in last 3 years).

· Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills across required systems.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

· Effective English reading and writing skills.

· Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Job Overview:

This position will interact and support all aspects of product development, including concept development, analysis, validation, supply chain interactions, manufacturing implementation, as well as production support. The individual will be expected to work closely with all areas of the business to ensure project objectives are achieved.

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to develop market leading product technologies
  • Utilization of computer assisted design/drafting (SolidWorks CAD) equipment and software
  • Perform virtual and physical analysis to validate design integrity
  • Create and revise detailed drawings utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards
  • Create strategic project action plans and cost estimates of materials, time, and other resources required to complete the project
  • Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs
  • Identify, validate, and implement continuous product improvement opportunities
  • Design manufacturing jigs and fixtures
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure project success

The Electrical/Instrumentation (& Analyzer) Planner/Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating Instrumentation, Electrical, and Analyzer (IEA) work scope during refinery turnarounds and other events.

This position works closely with maintenance, engineering, operations, and contractors to ensure all IEA activities are properly scoped, planned, scheduled, and executed safely within schedule.

This individual will own the process from beginning to end and be accountable for all IEA project deliverables.
