Job Description

Night Shift hours (4:30p - 1:00a)

Sets up, writes programs and edits existing programs, and operates numerically controlled machinery. These include but are not limited to lathes, mills, drills, and other machinery as required.

• Maintains quality and tolerances within .0003”.
• Follow written and verbal procedures for machining and other duties.
• Work from work order routings, prints, sketches, layout sheets, written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of programming languages and the ability to learn / adapt per machine.
• Must be able to recognize and understand functions of machine parameters with the ability to modify as required per supervisor’s instructions.
• Utilize knowledge of working properties for a variety of materials such as stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, exotics, etc.
• Presets tools and may be required to re-sharpen.
• Inspect work produced using micrometer; bore gage, venire calipers, or other measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Follow preventative maintenance procedures on equipment as prescribed by supervisor and report operating difficulties of equipment to supervisor.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies, reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Make proper labor and time reports.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Keep machine(s) / work area clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a technical school education and working machinist knowledge or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC machine tool Programming & Operating experience.
• Numerical control machining skills experience and ability to read and interpret work related machine drawings.
• Make average to complicated mathematical calculations and resolve elementary technical problems.
• CNC Programmer/Operator will be compensated in accordance with defined expertise, experience and production efficiency.
• Can operate a minimum of 2 CNC machine tools.
• Possesses previous experience as a Manual machinist.
• Must be detail oriented; be able to work independently using sound judgment.
• Good verbal, written, problem solving and organization skills required.

Pay Range: $27.00 - $30.00 hr.

• Install, maintain, improve and repair equipment, plant services and building installations to set levels effectively in compliance with best practices ensuring production efficiency can be met within a safe well-presented facility.
• Respond to technical issues affecting production and maintain electrical and mechanical services through application of advanced Total Productive Maintenance tools and techniques.
• Plays a pivotal role in helping guide the Engineering and Maintenance teams through extensive training, mentoring and technical support to continuously improve and upgrade equipment and technician capabilities.
• High level production breakdown support through root cause problem solving, with minimal downtime to production. Ability to take these incidents and develop long term technical solutions to eliminate recurrence of issue through machine upgrades.
• Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices. Develop and improve SOP’s to support production, sanitation and maintenance staff have detailed instructions and machine setting guidelines for optimal performance.
• Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production using such tools as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, or ring gauges.
• Document and use center-lining tools to standardize machine operations.
• Assist in all aspects of manufacturing electrical and mechanical equipment with an emphasis on quality, organization and neatness using tools such as 5S and TPM techniques and approaches.
• Work in coordination with the Maintenance Manager on major projects leading sub-project activities
• Prepare reports and recommendations on machines and repairs required for Maintenance Manager.
• Train maintenance technicians how to estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales.
• Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management along with designed recommendations on how to resolve.
• Develop preventive maintenance tasks and activities and work with PM coordinator to enter EAM and train technicians on how to follow and complete.
• Plan and prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
• Ensure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reported.
• Ensure all company procedures are understood and followed.
• Ensure a safe working environment exists for self and colleagues, ensuring all health, safety environmental and quality management procedures are followed and achieve the company’s and department KPI targets.
• Undertake special projects as required.
• Actively utilize continuous improvement methodology to progress the maintenance function.
• Assist visiting specialist when necessary.
• Ensure that contractors are utilized in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow up on any temporary repairs and generate a work order in the EAM (Enterprise Asset Management System)

• Modify existing equipment to improve production efficiency or meet operational requirements.
• Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings to complete projects accurately.
• Ensure all fabricated equipment meets food safety and sanitary welding standards for food manufacturing.
• Grind, polish, and finish welds to maintain hygienic surfaces suitable for food production.

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Seal Repair Technician is responsible for all processes related to disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment. The Seal Repair Technician follows instruction from a Repair job packet and router to perform DCI (Dismantle Clean and Inspect) and gives a written description of the wear and condition of critical components seal.

This position completes all inspection forms taking pictures of all critical components and uses inspection equipment for proper documentation of the assembly. With assistance identifies, inspects and evaluates material returned, determines repair operations, performs simple shop operations, verify specifications, initiate work and purchase orders.

Receives John Crane parts and materials returned by customers and branch offices. Evaluates from a condition of material, checks current drawing revisions and general product knowledge whether material is repairable or non-repairable.

• Identifies and inspects material returned.
• Ensures all components are properly cleaned and free from foreign material per departmental procedures
• Performs the assembly of the seal once the repair has been released to the shop and all components have been replaced or reconditioned and marked ready for assembly.
• Under close supervision, repairs returned seals and seal parts.
• May perform parts structuring, checks cost structure, and determines price of repair, ensures assembly is structured correctly, and price repair.
• Determines necessary repair operations, ensures BOM (bill of materials) / drawings / repair parts match.
• Performs simple operations on drill press (single spindle), tool post grinder, bead blast polisher and lapping machine.
• Verifies part specifications with measuring instruments such as micrometer, vernier caliper, dial indicator and optical flats.
• May initiates purchase orders for new jobs if vendors are involved.
• Consults with Engineering or Sales departments as necessary.
• Maintains necessary records and small inventory of seal parts used for repair orders.
• Works from factory work orders, prints, rework orders and verbal instructions.
• Assists newer repair personnel as necessary.
• Sets up and troubleshoots lapping machines for repair maintenance.
• May perform direct contact with customers on service and/or phone, checks computer system for credit and address information, price repairs

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design, modernization, and operational excellence of our enterprise data platform. This role blends hands on data architecture with cloud and on prem platform engineering, reliability, and DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience designing scalable data solutions, modernizing database environments, implementing automation and CI/CD pipelines, and driving platform reliability across mission critical systems. This role requires both strategic architectural thinking and hands on implementation across cloud services, relational databases, automation tooling, and enterprise system integrations.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Data Platform Architecture & Modernization

• Architect scalable, secure, and high availability data platforms across cloud/hybrid environments
• Designing and overseeing database modernization initiatives (e.g., On-prem SQL server to managed services such as RDS or equivalent)
• Defining data storage strategies across relational and operational systems
• Establishing standards for availability, resilience, performance optimization, and cost efficiency
• Producing architectural diagrams and documentation to guide implementation and long-term platform strategy

Data Ingestion & Integration

• Designing and implementing scalable ingestion pipelines across enterprise systems
• Developing ingestion and transformation logic using SQL and Python
• Supporting integration patterns across APIs, batch systems, and event-driven architectures
• Designing monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure ingestion reliability and observability
• Enabling data availability for analytics and operational reporting without compromising system performance

Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering

• Architecting and managing cloud-based data services
• Designing monitoring frameworks using tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, or equivalent
• Optimizing cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and reliability
• Supporting secure access patterns, identity management, and operational governance

DevOps & Platform Reliability

• Implementing CI/CD pipelines for data and database deployments (Azure DevOps or similar)
• Establishing version control and automated deployment standards for data environments
• Improving SDLC processes for database and data platform releases
• Ensuring high system availability (99.9%+ targets) and proactive incident management
• Supporting incident response processes and RCA for data related systems and/or outages

Database Architecture & Performance Optimization

• Designing relational database schemas for scalability and performance
• Clearly define and implement indexing, partitioning, and query optimization standards
• Implementing backup, disaster recovery, business continuity and high availability strategies
• Guiding database tuning and performance monitoring practices

Governance & Technical Leadership

• Establishing data architecture standards and naming conventions
• Driving platform documentation and operational best practices
• Partnering with application, infrastructure, and analytics teams
• Serving as technical authority across data centric initiatives
• Mentoring engineers through design reviews and architecture governance

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud engineering, or platform focused roles
• Strong experience with designing, implementing, and maintenance of data solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms (Snowflake/Databricks/MS Fabric, and SQL Server)
• Advanced SQL proficiency and strong Python coding skills
• Proven experience modernizing enterprise database environments
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data platforms, preferably Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning and availability design
• Experience designing systems for high availability and operational reliability

The following skills are preferred, but not required:

• Experience with CDC, streaming, or event-driven ingestion architectures is a plus
• Familiarity with enterprise CRM (Salesforce, home grown) or billing platforms (Great Plains, Dynamics) and data integration across these as data sources into a cloud DWH
• Experience with Elasticsearch or similar search/indexing platforms
• Knowledge of cost optimization in data cloud environments – across storage, usage and data accessibility
• Experience working in highly regulated or operationally critical industries, influencing data governance principles and industry best practices
