About the Role

Performs duties involving the shipping & receiving of product by accurately picking, packing & processing customer orders in a timely manner .

Responsibilities

• Receive all in-bound product
• Put-away product into appropriate locations
• Operate equipment, including reach truck, order picker, speed cart, and dock trucks
• Operate radio frequency units (RF’s)
• Count and multiply product accurately
• Physically move product – repeated heavy (up to 50lbs) lifting is sometimes required
• Work in team environment
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Previous warehouse work including picking and packing product preferred
• Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities:

• To perform from schematics and drawings, the making, installation and assembly of piping for the fluid power supply of industrial equipment, and Pneumatic wiring. Apply safe work practices and policies in the performance of all assigned works.

Function:

• Application of all safety rules and practices specific and non-specific to the pipefitter/welder trade on company premises
• Comply with the policies, documents, procedures and work instructions of both the Quality and Environmental Management systems.
• Troubleshooting of mechanical piping and refrigeration systems equipment problems when called for assistance.
• Execution of quality mechanical repairs (including welding, piping and insulation works) as assigned
• Execution of routine mechanical tasks to support process operation
• Execution of various preventive maintenance tasks relative to mechanical piping systems and generated by the plant work order system, as assigned.
• Perform all tasks required to operate the plant refrigeration system in a safe and efficient manner
• Execution of project tasks whenever the size, nature and skills allow it as assigned
• Accurately report all activities directly (or indirectly) into the plant BMA System.
• Participate in various communication meetings held to foster safety and plant performance.

Required Qualifications:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This Engineer will be responsible for completing the automation portion of capital projects in support of the Plant Capital execution as well as Plant technical support, enabling the plant to meet its Market, Safety, Productivity, and Quality goals. They will assist management with pre-studies of deployment and development projects in the EE / Automation field. They will also complete design studies, follow procurement and fabrication of equipment and lead the installation, commissioning and startup of the equipment in an industrial plant environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Provide detailed electrical design and automation programming for assigned projects.

Provide estimates and technical schedules for all phases of process equipment addition, replacement or upgrade.

Provide backup support and training to plant maintenance teams on new automation systems that they implement.

Collaborate with internal company support groups to accomplish objectives and provide contract engineering management and direction when needed.

Participate in assigned major capital projects and/or modifications from start to finish, including equipment reception, commissioning, and acceptance.

For customer projects, manages the design studies for industrial electrical equipment, and low/high voltage electrical installations that are necessary for the success of the Plant's capital projects. She / he will ensure adherence to the customer's specifications, local regulations, compliance of performance, and costs.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Bachelors in Electra-mechanical, Computer, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience in the field

Preferred minimum of at least 3 years of Engineering experience

Minimal travel, 5-10% maximum (vendor machine acceptance, support of local facility)

Experience with electrical design standards and able to complete controls systems designs using standard CAD design tools

Experience with PLC programming standards & programming software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text. Specific experience with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) and Siemens is a plus.

Experience with Variable Frequency drives and Motion Control technologies. Specific experience with Rockwell, Siemens and Control Techniques is a plus.

Experience with HMI configuration, programming and communication. Specific experience with Rockwell is a plus.

Experience with controls systems network interfaces and various protocols for communications between devices including computer system databases.

Experience in Project Team Leadership or Project Management is preferred, but not required

Vision System configuration and interface for width measurement applications and defect detection applications is preferred but not required. Specific experience with Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, Gocator is a plus.

Robotic experience, configuration or knowledge is preferred. Specific experience with Fanuc, ABB is a plus. Experience with Vision Systems is a plus.

Michelin Louisville is seeking Engineering Co-Op students majoring in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, and Electrical Engineering to join the team at our plant in Louisville, KY.

In our petrochemical facility we produce synthetic rubber from monomer feedstocks and catalysts, through a polymerization reaction.

The product, after other operations, is carefully weighed and pressed into uniform bales before shipping to the next Michelin factory for tire production.

Our facility supplies various rubber products that go into tires in the USA, Canada, and in Michelin factories around the world. Our site is one of the three Michelin petrochemical sites producing synthetic rubber for cars, vans, trucks, two-wheelers, aircraft, agricultural tractors, and mining equipment.

The Diesel Mechanic performs a highly important full range of skilled mechanical maintenance, diagnostic, inspection and repair duties on passenger shuttle buses.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (6pm 2:30am)

• Inspect, diagnose, adjust and repair diesel poweredbuses

Key Responsibilities

CPSIA / CPSA Product Safety Compliance

• Manage all required Children’s Product Certificates (CPCs) and General Certificates of Conformity (GCCs).
• Oversee required third-party laboratory testing and ensure testing certificates accompany each applicable import shipment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Improve TRS-P by analyzing and proposing improvements, ensuring the frequency and duration of maintenance activities meet quality standards.
• Support MDP processes by analyzing events from the previous day and addressing requirements from briefings.
• Control the impact of equipment evolution by analyzing potential consequences on reliability, quality, and maintenance efficiency.

• A Two-Year degree (experience will be considered in lieu of degree); a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience in a Union Environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal abilities, enabling professional interaction with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues across all organizational tiers.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Effective problem-solving, critical thinking, and process/product relationship knowledge.

Operations team member: the Business Unit Leader strives to boost the Shop's performance ahead of their own Business Unit. To accomplish this, they actively participate in:

• Sharing guidelines between Business Units and helping to contribute to the Plant performance in a collaborative manner. We maintain an outlook of "ONE MANUFACTURING TEAM" in all situations.
• Identifying and nurturing individuals with potential to advance their careers within the Shop. These individuals are cultivated within their Business Unit and then transitioned to other roles to meet business demands.

• A BS degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience in the Chemical Industry is required. MBA, Masters of Engineering are preferred.
• Having prior experience in managing within a unionized setting is advantageous.
• At least 3-5 years of successful people management (industrial setting preferred).
• Established history of managing employee performance effectively (incorporating attendance, productivity, skill growth, and talent supervision).
• A track record of effective industrial oversight (ensuring safety, optimizing production, maintaining quality, managing costs and budgets, etc).
• Proficiency in managing Industrial Site Utilities is beneficial (covering steam, wastewater, air, nitrogen, cooling water).
• Experience in Process Safety Management is advantageous.
