Job Title

Perform routine and non-routine cleaning tasks along with other staff on Meltblown equipment assuring their ongoing cleanliness

Ability to set-up, operate and troubleshoot and/or make proper machine adjustments to the process to produce quality product that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations

Understand and be able to do basic upkeep and troubleshooting on the following equipment:

  • Meltblown machines in total including all sub-systems
  • TSI Testers
  • Cutters
  • Presses
  • Resin drying equipment
  • Resin mixing equipment
  • Silo and sensor for silo depth

Collaborate with and support engineering from Neillsville and Stoughton with new processes and products

Directly engage engineering and maintenance in a timely manner to assist with issues

Assist in creation of documentation for existing and new processes and procedures

Properly complete all documentation within the department including quality records, maintenance logs, production logs, 5S scores, etc as directed

Understand and apply media specifications as needed to maintain product quality.

Assist in managing scrap amounts by promptly addressing causes of scrap including involving engineering or maintenance

Calibrate machines and testing equipment per schedule and as needed, perform quality test procedures as required.

Support and maintain OE initiatives throughout designated work area

Responsible for completing weekly and monthly Preventative Maintenance on equipment.

Apply all safety, quality, ITAR, and other plant processes and procedures to the products

Keep department organized and focused to meet production demands (5S Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)

Communicate effectively with department, maintenance, engineering, plant leadership, and any other co-workers

Demonstrated ability to perform critical job functions (as outlined above) and train new employees in the department.

Other duties as assigned by the team leader or manager

Qualifications

Ability to follow directions, read blueprints, job data sheets, safety instructions, etc

Good written and oral communication skills

Must be a quick learner with strong problem solving skills

Must be very adaptive to change and be an active change agent

Must be motivated and self-driven, able to work with minimal supervision

Education & Experience

1-2 years experience working in a similar position is preferred

Physical Requirements

Must be able to walk/stand at least 75% of the time including during required overtime hours.

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

Quality Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards. Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures. Performs quality inspections. Identifies and controls non-conforming material.

Delivery Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations. Demonstrates a high level of competency in core work skills. Achieves production goals. Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard. Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks. Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals. Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.

Teamwork Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams. Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements. Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

This role focuses on developing and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure all products meet rigorous standards of reliability and performance.

You will collaborate across departments to resolve issues, conduct technical inspections, and maintain the documentation that upholds the firm’s reputation for world class quality.

Responsibilities Review prints, specifications, and drawings to evaluate design intent and drafting standards.

Conduct precise inspections and tests on materials to ensure they align with customer specifications.

Document inspection results and analyze production data to track key quality metrics.

Evaluate complex processing methods to ensure long term capability and suggest process improvements.

Provide technical support to internal engineering teams and customers regarding quality requirements.

Manage customer complaints by investigating quality issues and visiting design locations when necessary.

Prepare and submit critical documentation including PPAP, warrants, and Control Plans.

Support initial production runs and participate in failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).

Qualifications Experience: 3+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
