WHY THIS JOB: TRANSPORTATION PROJECT MANAGER

A well‑established and rapidly growing engineering firm is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to support its expanding transportation practice across Montana. This position will focus heavily on MDT roadway design projects, providing leadership for project teams while ensuring schedules, budgets, and client expectations are met.

In this role, you’ll oversee transportation projects from early design through delivery, working closely with designers, engineers, and MDT stakeholders. You’ll help guide younger engineers, review technical deliverables, and keep complex projects moving forward efficiently.

This firm has a strong relationship with the MDT, so this role will be able to step directly into active projects while also supporting future growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong roadway design knowledge combined with the ability to manage large, multi-year infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Actually Do:

• Manage MDT roadway design projects from planning through delivery
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams
• Serve as the primary point of contact with MDT and project stakeholders
• Manage project schedules, scopes, and budgets
• Review roadway design plans and technical deliverables
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
• Coordinate with survey, traffic, and right‑of‑way teams
• Support proposal development and help position the firm for additional DOT work
• Occasionally support municipal or private infrastructure projects as needed
• Travel periodically within Montana for meetings and project coordination

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

• Licensed Civil Professional Engineer (PE)
• Strong background in DOT roadway design and project management
• Experience managing large transportation infrastructure projects
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Ability to lead design teams and coordinate complex project scopes
• Strong client communication and project leadership skills
• Background in hydraulics/hydrology is a plus

Position Overview:

PTS Advance is seeking an experienced MEP Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical building systems design and proven expertise in Revit for modeling and documentation. You'll play a key role in developing HVAC, plumbing, and piping designs for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems for building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
• Create and coordinate 3D models and detailed construction documents using Revit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and contractors.
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Support project lifecycle from concept through construction administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design (commercial or industrial preferred).
• Proficiency in Revit required.

Position Responsibilities:

- Coordinates, plans, organizes and controls the maintenance and repairs and the release of MH-139 aircraft.

- Must be able to work rotating shifts and travel for detachments.

- Incumbent shall supervise and coordinate maintenance efforts on assigned shift, to meet the daily flight schedule.

- This incumbent must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned, certify Aircraft/Engine Logbook entries, and coordinate maintenance control responsibilities

- Must possess O-level experience.

- Candidate must have experience with the Exceptional Release process.

- Candidate must have good communication skills both orally and written.

- Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.

- Inspect the aircraft to certify that all maintenance performed by the team is correct and complete.

- This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

- Minimum of 3 years' experience aircraft maintenance environment supporting configuration management and release for flight

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in airplane operational and organizational processes in maintenance operations and/or flight operations

- Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

- Exceptional Release experience or "Safe for Flight" Certification

- MH-139/AW139 Aircraft Systems experience
