We are seeking a Staff Network Engineer (Team Lead) to serve as the senior technical anchor and day-to-day leader for our Network Engineering function. This role blends deep technical expertise with operational leadership-driving architecture, reliability, compliance, and performance across a modern hybrid cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure, and enterprise on-prem infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled network engineer who thrives in complex environments, enjoys owning critical network services, and can provide technical leadership, prioritization, and mentorship to a small but capable team. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and directly tied to our cloud migration, acquisition integrations, and overall platform modernization.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Serve as the lead engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable enterprise network infrastructure across hybrid cloud and data center environments.
  • Architect and support complex routing, switching, firewalling, VPN, and load-balancing solutions using Cisco, FortiGate, F5, Cloudflare, and Azure/AWS native controls.
  • Lead the networking components of cloud migrations, landing zones, hybrid connectivity, and acquisition integrations.
  • Establish engineering standards for network architecture, automation, segmentation, and operational excellence.

Operational Ownership & Reliability

  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high-severity incidents, ensuring durable fixes and proactive risk reduction.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, observability, and alerting using LogicMonitor and cloud-native tools.
  • Build and maintain SOPs, runbooks, configuration standards, and knowledge-base materials to support operational consistency.

Security, Compliance & Audit Support

  • Maintain secure configurations aligned with Zero Trust principles, segmentation strategies, and firewall best practices.
  • Participate in SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST, and HITECH audits by preparing and submitting required network-related artifacts.
  • Ensure strict adherence to change management-including reviewing, approving, and validating production changes.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide day-to-day technical direction, workload prioritization, and mentorship to Network Engineers and cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable, highly available solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies, drive continuous improvement, and influence long-term network strategy.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

Candidates must demonstrate strong hands-on expertise in the following areas:

Core Networking & Infrastructure

  • BGP and advanced routing protocols, and Cisco Switches
  • Cisco Firewalls and FortiGate Firewalls
  • VPN technologies (IPSec, policy-based and route-based)
  • F5 Load Balancers (LTM/ASM)
  • Cloudflare (WAF, CDN, network services)

Cloud Networking

  • Azure: ExpressRoute, VNETs, routing, firewalls, hybrid connectivity
  • AWS: VPC networking, Transit Gateway, routing, hybrid connectivity

Automation & Tooling

  • Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Groovy)
  • Configuration automation (Terraform/IaC experience is strongly preferred)

Governance & Compliance

  • Experience supporting SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST, HITECH
  • Ability to prepare and submit artifacts during audits
  • Experience participating in structured change management processes

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties include:

  • Conducting air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels.
  • Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
  • Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
  • Supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Salary and Benefits

Begin your career as an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) and make up to $85,270 to - $110,846 per year based on your qualifications for the GS-11 grade level and possible extra compensation based on your duty location (see below).

Recruitment Incentive:New hires may be eligible to receive a one-time Recruitment Incentive payout of $10,000 after completing Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC) (1 year service agreement will need to be completed) (Recruitment Incentive is only available to new Federal employees as described in 5 CFR 575.102. Qualifications

Experience:You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized professional aviation experience performing duties such as:

  • Flying as a Pilot-in-Command or sole manipulator in an airplane and helicopter in all environments of flight, including night, poor weather, unfavorable terrain, low altitudes, or speed.
  • Evaluating information rapidly and making judicious decisions promptly during in-flight operations.
  • Developing strategies and coordinating aircraft and ground assets.
  • Using information systems and databases to conduct information surveys, queries, update files and disseminate information.
  • Experience may include Operation of an aircraft as Captain, Pilot in Command, Aircraft Commander, First Officer, Certified Flight Instructor, Second in Command, or Co-pilot.

Hiring Minimums:

Certification & Ratings: A current FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with one of the following ratings:

  • Dual Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument rating AND Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
  • Airplane Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument.
  • Helicopter Rated: Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
  • Equivalent military rating of the above at the time of application (eligibility based on military flight experience must provide official orders, forms or logbooks showing their status as a rated military pilot).

Flight Hours: Pilot Enter on Duty minimums are 1500 flight hours; (up to 500 hours can be waived, reducing the pilot enter on duty minimums to 1000 hours.

FAA Class 2 medical required for assessment dated within the last 12 calendar months; FAA Class 1, FAA Class 2 or Military medical flight clearance dated within the last 12 months qualifies to start the pre-employment process for the AIA position.

Apply at 750 hours total time: Applicants applying at 750 flight hours are required to obtain at least 1,000 flight hours (depending on the number of hours approved for a waiver) at their own expense before being able to attend the 3-part flight assessment. UAS Flight Hours:Applicants may include UAS Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) flight hours and Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) or predator-based flight hours. These hours may be credited towards satisfying the ""Total flight time"" 1,500 flight hour requirement only. UAS hours do not count towards the 250 flight hours as a Pilot in Command, 75 flight hours Instrument, and 75 flight hours Night. Flight hour logbooks will be required at the time of your Flight Assessment for verification.

The Role We Want You For

The Scheduling and Planning Manager builds and maintains the project schedule and the different baselines in accordance with Clayco's policies, owner requirements, and the on-going analysis of the network logic and validation as it complies with the intent of the project team. Cost and resource loading including the Clayco metrics and general conditions is required on all project schedules so, all report generation and cash flows will be a critical element of the role.

The Specifics of the Role

  • Periodic progress updates of in-progress schedules. Collection of all pertinent data required to update the schedule. The Scheduler is responsible for collection of update data from multiple sources, including the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Owners Representatives and subcontractors. All update data shall be approved by the Project Manager prior to incorporation into the schedule.
  • Maintenance of Project Schedule Baselines. Maintains Project Schedule Baselines in accordance with Clayco's policy regarding Baselines and any additional requirements the Owner's contracts may include.
  • Periodic Performance Report Generation. Generation of project specific Performance Reports as well as Clayco Standard reports, including but not limited to: Critical Activities Report, Baseline Deviation Report, Earned Value Performance Index Report and Project Cash Flow Report.
  • Cost and Resource Loading of Schedules. Required at a minimum on all Clayco projects to include the Clayco Metrics Resource Set for project staff and General Conditions.   • Network Logic Analysis and Validation. On-going analysis of the network logic and validation that it complies with the intent of the project team and that it complies with the Clayco Standard Guidelines for network logic. The network logic on-going analysis shall also include removal of extraneous and superfluous dependencies that may cause errors in calculating total float and criticality.
  • Assist in preparation of Monthly Schedule Reporting. Preparation of the required reports for the project and shall include assisting with the draft of the Monthly Schedule Narrative.
  • Schedule Development. Developing schedules from the ground up for both proposals and construction projects. Development of both types of schedules shall be a team effort.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or related major is required.
  • 6-10 years of scheduling experience.
  • Data Center experience.
  • Recent expertise and a proven knowledge of Primavera P-6 scheduling management system.
  • Project Management experience working for general contractor preferred.

Job Details Responsibilities / Duties: Perform in-process inspections, first article inspections (FAI), and final inspections of components or assemblies, using measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges, etc.).

Analyze inspection data, maintain quality records, and prepare reports on quality audits, trends, and nonconformances.

Identify, document, and help drive root cause investigations for defects, nonconformances, and process deviations.

Work with manufacturing, engineering, and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Assist in developing and maintaining control plans, inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality checklists.

Support internal and external audits (ISO, customer, supplier audits), ensuring compliance with standards and requirements.

Use statistical process control (SPC) tools, capability studies, measurement system analysis (MSA), and other quality tools to monitor and improve process stability.

Participate in continuous improvement projects (lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to reduce scrap, rework, and cost, and improve throughput and yield.

Support supplier quality assurance, including incoming inspection, supplier audits, and corrective actions for supplier nonconformances.

Provide training and coaching to technicians/operators on inspection methods, quality awareness, and defect prevention.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree or technical certificate in quality, mechanical, manufacturing, engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Demonstrated experience (e.g.

2–5 years) in a quality role within manufacturing (Welding experience is required) Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators) and familiarity with CMM or other automated measurement systems.

Understanding of quality principles and methodologies (e.g.

SPC, MSA, root cause analysis, 8D, FMEA).

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and specifications.

Ability to document and present quality data, nonconformance reports, and improvement proposals.

Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment.
