We are seeking a Product Development Engineer for our First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA.

This position will be responsible for leading product development projects and selecting technologies to use to meet customer demands. Successful candidate will work with and provide technical expertise for continuous improvement activities of the process teams for new and existing products within the FQBP facility. This role will also work in collaboration with each facility's Quality Manager and Product Development resources (including benchmarking and sharing of best practices). This individual must be able to participate in plant trials and train others in testing methods.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Promotes an action-oriented safety culture, embracing safety as a core value, instilling and exemplifying a safety mindset for all team members resulting in an incident free workplace.
• Works in conjunction with Quality department to ensure finished product satisfies all finished product quality standards.
• Investigates new technologies and applies them to baby diapers and pants.
• Assists in planning, conducting, analyzing, and interpreting technical services.
• Responsible for project planning and execution on commercial and pilot line trials.
• Responsible for evaluating analytical data and relaying the information to non-technical personnel.
• Develops proprietary technology with equipment and/or process changes to meet evolving customer needs with the lowest cost solution.
• Responsible for organizing Product Development pipeline and consumer testing plans.
• Responsible for Product Development capital projects.
• Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times.
• Performs other duties as defined

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelors in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in Project or Process Engineering experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in industrial experience.
• Minimum of 2-5 years Product Development experience.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of nonwovens, absorbent hygiene, and diaper converting processes preferred
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to develop and organize multiple projects.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee craft workers assigned to specific areas of responsibility, utilizing all resources effectively
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, safety requirements, work rules, and applicable regulations

The Sales Executive/Account Manager position is responsible for managing a key Paper Manufacturing Client, a multi-million $$ account.

Key responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining the relationship with the account to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues that arise. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue, preparing regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance, and informing strategic decisions. Providing exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any concerns is also a crucial part of the job.

Key Outcomes

• Managing the relationship with the customer in a manner that adds value and prevents attrition. We are seeking a Product Development Scientist for our First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA.

The position is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing new and proprietary designs of absorbent-related product systems based upon business, customer, and consumer needs as well as provide support for the needs of present product systems to assure competitive performance and value.

Responsibilities include:

• Participate as a member of the Product Development team; execute projects in timely, diligent, safe, and professional manner, and contribute to the growth of the team and department.
• Design new products and product improvements to meet business and consumer needs.
• Develop new and improved materials and technologies with suppliers, and ensure all new raw materials obtain proper safety testing and clearance.
• Use basic Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques to develop experimental plans.
• Support the existing business product cost improvements through product redesigns.
• Provide technical support to reduce consumer complaints.
• Support corporate proprietary technology by documenting and patenting novel ideas.
• Develop new test methods to better predict and understand product performance in use.
• Work with more senior scientist or manager to help set project objectives.

Education and experience requirements include:

• Able to travel ~20-30% to US and International for product and process trials.
• Four-year technical degree (e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent; additional business studies preferred.
• 3+ years in R&D inventing, developing and implementing new products.
• Knowledge of and experience with developing product systems for the retail market, preferably hygiene products
• Knowledge of materials used in retail absorbent products (e.g. pulp, super absorbent polymers, nonwovens).
• Working knowledge of consumer product converting technologies for pulp, paper and nonwoven materials.
• Experience with the process of searching, evaluating and filing patents.
• Experience providing direction for the physical testing of hypotheses, resulting in specific conclusions and recommendations.
• Able to speak, read and write the English language and have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good analytical skills, with working knowledge of basic statistics.
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office program.
