Duty Locations

Locations are offered based on operational requirements, mission requirements, and critical agency hiring needs as determined by AMO. You must be willing to work at any duty location within the region you select to include but not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties include:

  • Conducting air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels.
  • Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
  • Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
  • Supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Salary and Benefits

Begin your career as an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) and make up to $85,270 to - $110,846 per year based on your qualifications for the GS-11 grade level and possible extra compensation based on your duty location (see below).

Recruitment Incentive:New hires may be eligible to receive a one-time Recruitment Incentive payout of $10,000 after completing Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC) (1 year service agreement will need to be completed) (Recruitment Incentive is only available to new Federal employees as described in 5 CFR 575.102. Eligibility will be determined by Human Resources.)

Your starting salary will include Special Salary Rate (SSR); Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP); Recruitment Incentive; and Retention Incentive.

This career ladder position has a grade level progression of GS-11, GS-12, and GS-13. You may be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level automatically (without re-applying) once you complete 52 weeks at each grade level (with supervisor approval).

Qualifications

Experience:You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized professional aviation experience performing duties such as:

  • Flying as a Pilot-in-Command or sole manipulator in an airplane and helicopter in all environments of flight, including night, poor weather, unfavorable terrain, low altitudes, or speed.
  • Evaluating information rapidly and making judicious decisions promptly during in-flight operations.
  • Developing strategies and coordinating aircraft and ground assets.
  • Using information systems and databases to conduct information surveys, queries, update files and disseminate information.
  • Experience may include Operation of an aircraft as Captain, Pilot in Command, Aircraft Commander, First Officer, Certified Flight Instructor, Second in Command, or Co-pilot.

Hiring Minimums:

Certification & Ratings: A current FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with one of the following ratings:

  • Dual Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument rating AND Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
  • Airplane Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument.
  • Helicopter Rated: Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
  • Equivalent military rating of the above at the time of application (eligibility based on military flight experience must provide official orders, forms or logbooks showing their status as a rated military pilot).

Flight Hours: Pilot Enter on Duty minimums are 1500 flight hours; (up to 500 hours can be waived, reducing the pilot enter on duty minimums to 1000 hours.

250 Pilot-in-Command hours; 75 Instrument hours; 75 Night hours (Flight Hour Waiver available, see Required Documents); and 100 Flight hours in the last 12 months This qualification requirement is currently being waived by OPM through August 5, 2025.

FAA Class 2 medical required for assessment dated within the last 12 calendar months; FAA Class 1, FAA Class 2 or Military medical flight clearance dated within the last 12 months qualifies to start the pre-employment process for the AIA position.

Apply at 750 hours total time: Applicants applying at 750 flight hours are required to obtain at least 1,000 flight hours (depending on the number of hours approved for a waiver) at their own expense before being able to attend the 3-part flight assessment. Applicants must still meet 250 Pilot-in-Command, 75 instrument, and 75-night hours (100 flight hours in the last 12 months. This qualification requirement is currently being waived by OPM through August 4, 2026)

UAS Flight Hours:Applicants may include UAS Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) flight hours and Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) or predator-based flight hours. These hours may be credited towards satisfying the ""Total flight time"" 1,500 flight hour requirement only. UAS hours do not count towards the 250 flight hours as a Pilot in Command, 75 flight hours Instrument, and 75 flight hours Night. Flight hour logbooks will be required at the time of your Flight Assessment for verification.

Other Requirements

Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.

Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.

Age Requirement: Provisions of Public Laws 93-350 and 100-238 allow the imposition of a maximum age for initial appointment to a primary Law Enforcement Officer position within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Position Summary

This role will provide leadership and oversight of EHS activities across local manufacturing and warehousing operations.


The EHS Manager will report directly to the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety, with a dotted line to the Plant Manager, ensuring alignment between corporate EHS initiatives and plant-level execution.


This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, as well as PPC’s internal policies and programs. It will also collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers, including insurance carriers, brokers, and consultants, to implement and continuously improve EHS systems, training, and best practices.

Position Responsibilities

The EHS Manager will be responsible for leading, developing, and implementing programs to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Specific responsibilities include:


Compliance & Program Management

  • Develop and implement programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
  • Maintain and promote EHS policies and procedures throughout the site.
  • Create and manage plans to ensure EHS training complies with or surpasses regulatory standards.
  • Perform risk assessments and create strategies to reduce hazards.
  • Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Perform environmental and safety compliance inspections and submit the necessary reports to regulatory agencies.

  • Incorporate EHS goals into yearly site plans and actively participate as a member of the Plant Leadership Team.
  • Assist in investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and corrective measures.
  • Act as the site representative for insurance carriers regarding worker’s compensation claims.

Operational Support & Oversight

  • Ensure safety gear (e.g., PPE, forklifts, overhead cranes, machine guards, hearing protection) is accessible, maintained properly, and being used.
  • Ensure that routine inspections (e.g., fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, machine guards, warehouse racks, grounds) are carried out and documented.
  • Manage the implementation of waste reduction and sustainability projects to lessen environmental impact.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into every part of operations.
  • Keep the Plant Leadership Team updated on EHS program performance and compliance status.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Keep all necessary safety, accident, and environmental records and documentation.
  • Develop and share an EHS Scorecard to monitor performance and promote improvements.
  • Attend monthly EHS meetings with site and corporate personnel.
  • Serve as the local representative for the company’s Safety Center of Excellence (COE) and Green Team.
  • Perform other related duties assigned to support the success of the EHS program.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety management, EHS Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.

About the role

We are hiring an Asset Reliability Manager to improve asset reliability across the Coatings and Proteins plant network in North America.

This role will be based out of one of Kerry plant locations - Rome, GA, Calhoun, GA, Evansville, IN or Melrose Park, IL, and reports to the Director of Engineering. Travel (within USA 48 states) is expected to be 50% plus, to the various plants.

Key responsibilities

The role will lead improvements in asset reliability across a network of plants supporting Coatings and Proteins businesses. Specifically,

  • Drive maintenance key performance indicators (KPI’s) – equipment downtime, preventive maintenance (PM), urgent work, etc.
  • Provide support to manufacturing sites to develop, optimize and implement industry maintenance standards such as PM programs, spare parts management, stock room management
  • Collaborate with sites to define asset criticality and reliability maintenance strategies
  • Lead and support analysis of equipment and systems failures, using problem solving and continuous improvement tools such as RCA and DMAIC
  • Support site capability building with assessment and evaluation of site maintenance staff, training and knowledge transfer to site maintenance teams

Competencies

  • Solid fundamentals in total productive maintenance (TPM) is a must
  • Demonstrated experience and capability in maintenance, reliability engineering, data analysis and continuous improvement tools

Essential Job Functions: Plan, lead and manage a complex, multi-shift production and distribution operations Review and analyze production, quality control and operational reports Analyze quality issues and able to determine root cause to develop and implement corrective actions Plan and direct production activities and establish priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors Manage 2 to 6 Department Managers as direct reports, performing annual evaluations, and mid-year reviews, providing positive recognition and/or corrective action as necessary Promote safe work environment, including identifying safety hazards, performing timely follow up on safety issues and corrections Serve as a Safety Committee member and leader, ensure compliance with and champion all safety programs Work with Director Operations to: Coordinate & Set Production schedules and goals Report on Departments that are behind schedule, identifying reasons and removing obstacles to meet production completion and ship dates Report on back orders and measures being taken to resolve backorder issues Work with HR on hiring practices of new employees, and work with Department Managers on following hiring/transfer policy Maintain consistency in adherence to established HR / employment policies in areas of responsibility Work with Department Managers on training, motivating, and rewarding employees Support Open Door Policy and establish Employee Communication programs Work with Director Operations, Director Engineering and CI Manager to evaluate factory performance and develop plan for Capital Requisitions and Continuous Improvement activities to reach current and future production goals Work with teams to implement production changes to achieve current and future goals, tracking pertinent data/KPI to evaluate effectiveness Work to achieve annual metrics, as determined with Director Operations, to promote VT Industries reaching annual goals Build a World-Class Production Team and sustainable processes that exceed customer expectations Maintain and promote a Servant Leader Mind-Set Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or six years wood industry/building material or manufacturing experience Ability to analyze and evaluate data and develop detailed analysis and reports for Director Operations and Leadership Team in a concise and precise manner Must possess and display excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers Responsible for timely completion of production orders, and development of process improvement activities Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to train, recognize, select, and develop talent within the production team Demonstrate knowledge of and activities utilizing lean and/or continuous improvement methodology All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms.

Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate-controlled and can include elevated hot and cold temperatures.
