The Senior Specialist, Technical Writer will be responsible for gathering, composing, and editing technical information to prepare flight manuals, maintenance manuals, and other technical documentation for our warfighters.
The Technical Publications team is a group of professionals committed to providing quality and timely publication deliverables for commercial and government projects in a dynamic environment.
Essential Functions: Communicate with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand technical specifications and requirements.
Compile and structure researched technical information for development of documentation.
Including understanding engineering principles, reading schematics and/or wiring diagrams.
Authoring/Generating content for illustrated parts catalogs/maintenance manuals/flight operation/mission systems/Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) documents, in an Unstructured/Structured FrameMaker environment or other authoring software for commercial and/or Air Force, Army, or Navy programs.

Position DescriptionThe Senior Manager, Commercial Asset Management will play a crucial role in the optimization of Jera America's physical power asset portfolio. - Manage the daily Day-Ahead bidding, the cash month and term strategy, and execute trades on behalf of natural gas-fired, oil, and renewable facilities power generation assets based on changing market conditions.

- Hedge, or direct the execution of hedges, for assets within established authority limits while actively managing credit and cash commitments per the Risk Management Policies governing the assigned assets.
- Work with plant operations, third-party energy managers, and fuel suppliers (intraday gas procurement) for optimal asset trading and optimization.
- Develop expert knowledge of asset contracts and provide for proper supervision and optimization of contractual commercial rights and responsibilities.

Job Title/High-Level Position Summary: The Foot & Ankle division is a growing and dynamic team that is looking for a motivated candidate that is willing to jump start their career. The successful candidate will perform various activities to manufacture orthopedic products. These activities include, but are not limited to, assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specification, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine control or control media as required
- Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specification, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
- Operates equipment within a cell with multiple machines to produce high quality parts within prescribed routed time to meet production demands
- Changes inserts/tools and makes the necessary offsets to continue to make parts per blueprint and process specifications
- Maintains equipment via established preventative maintenance schedules
- Follows all prescribed quality procedures and inspection plans
- Performs 1st piece inspections and monitors own work to meet process requirements including fully documenting inspection reports developed by the Quality department
- Verifies that the inspection equipment being utilized is in calibration and performs a simple daily check against a known master to ensure the accuracy of the gage to be used
- Follows supervisor's direction to troubleshoot problem processes, interfacing with Manufacturing Engineers if necessary
- Ability to solve inspection problems and develop new approaches
- Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions

Compensation
The pay range for this role is $120,000-$165,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.

Manager, Quality Plant Operations
Summary
The Quality Plant Operations Manager is responsible for all quality activities related to in-house fabrication of pipe spools and vessels in alignment with the Quality Management System. This individual will also be responsible for the quality of painting, assembly, and Shipping of the final product to the Customer. This individual will be accountable for ensuring compliance with quality standards and providing complete, accurate, and timely project deliverables.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for the supervision, direction, and career development of in-house Plant Operations quality personnel.
- Influence the development and implementation of standards, policies, procedures, and internal systems that support Quality and Product Excellence.
- Oversee Plant quality documentation and document control processes.
- Develop clear quality objectives within Fabrication and Assembly and related processes.
- Coach and train quality and production team members.
- Define and maintain inspection standards for piping and vessel components that comply with code requirements, support successful assembly operations, and ensure longevity of components in operation.
- Oversee testing and managing Welder/Welding Operator Performance Qualification (WPQ).
- Responsible for selection and management of 3rd party testing services.
- Initiate & follow-up on corrective/preventive actions and the implementation of continual improvement efforts related to Pipe and Vessel Fabrication and Assembly.
- Development, qualification, and management of Welding Procedure Qualifications (WPQR) and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to specify the use of proper WPS in production applications.
- Develop and analyze statistical data to improve department performance.
- Direct team members to ensure control over the quality of materials and fabricated components.
- Support the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager with Customer and 3rd Party audits/inspections related to in-house Fabrication and Assembly quality and compliance, as well as external audits and licensing coordination.
- Review customer/client specifications, as needed, against Company and Industry codes and standards in support of applications engineering and sales to assure proper costing and compliance, and/or recommend exceptions to specifications.
- Participate in Internal, Customer, and Fabrication kickoff meetings to assure definition of project scope and responsibilities affecting the quality of fabricated components and the adherence to project specifications.
- Influence the development of new departments and welding processes and procedures and coordinate with production on the selection of the most efficient processes and parameters.
- Management of numerous industry and Customer/Client/End User specifications and requirements.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree desired.
- Minimum of 15 years related QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment, including a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- Familiarity with Codes and Specifications, including AWS, API, SSPC, NACE, ASME, ANSI, and PED.
- Strong Customer relations/external conflict resolution skills, including the investigation and rectification of customer-reported issues and complaints.
- Experience with/participation in production control and planning processes.
- Lean Manufacturing experience a major plus.
- AWS CWI strongly desired.
- ASME Section VIII, IX, and B31.3 knowledge is a must
