Job Description

Uncommon High School Math teachers work in grade teams and content teams to push students towards being self-guided learners. Our teachers become experts in their course content, and have a keen sense of how to motivate and inspire high school students. At the heart of all math classes is a deep joy for mathematics. Math teachers use a variety of instructional strategies to cultivate student awareness of how to make sense of, persevere through, and solve problems. At the conclusion of high school, students are prepared for academic autonomy and college preparatory work.

Responsibilities

1.     Instruction

• You'll use a Math curriculum to teach content that may include Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus and prepares students for Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate level coursework.
• You'll support students as they solve problems and think critically.
• You'll use your love of mathematics to foster confidence and meaningful engagement with the subject for students.
• You'll cultivate the ability to construct and justify viable arguments using reasoning, math vocabulary, tools, and postulates.

• You’ll build positive relationships with students to ensure they feel seen, loved, and heard.
• You’ll partner with students’ families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their child's learning needs.

• Required Experience:

  • Prior to the start of employment, you must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Teacher certification is not a prerequisite for consideration at Uncommon Schools in the state of NJ, but you do need to meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements (a final undergraduate or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 for graduates on or after 9/1/16, or 2.75 if you graduated prior to 9/1/16). All instructional staff are required to become certified in the state of New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is between $56,000 to $80,000.

Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant full-time teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time Teaching experience will likely have a starting salary of $56,000.

Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer II plays a lead role in the design and execution of building electrical systems across multiple client projects. This position works closely with the Project Engineer, PMs, and design team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

For licensed Professional Engineers, this role may include serving as Engineer of Record and signing/sealing drawings as required. This position offers a strong growth path into Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical system design in coordination with the Project Engineer

Perform engineering calculations, short circuit analysis, and electrical load studies

Develop single-line diagrams and size electrical components and equipment

Prepare technical specifications and construction documents

Review and ensure drawings comply with federal, state, local, NEC, and IBC codes

Conduct site surveys, energy audits, and provide field construction support

Review shop drawings for compliance with project specifications and design intent

Maintain project schedules and ensure alignment with client requirements and budget

Collaborate with PMs and Project Engineers on proposal development and client communication

Provide guidance and mentorship to Engineers in Training and junior staff

Support training and development initiatives within the team

Required Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering

7–10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering and building systems design

Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), IBC, and applicable NFPA standards

Experience performing lighting and electrical load analysis

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Experience using project-based design software

Strong time management and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license (or actively pursuing licensure)

Experience serving as Engineer of Record

Revit and BIM experience

Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for managing and ensuring company-wide compliance with U.S. import regulations and strategically managing workflows with import brokers to minimize the impact of import duties, tariffs, and fees, clear incoming shipments and address all attendant issues to ensure the timely receipt of spare parts, systems, and aircraft.

Tasks include the management of the process to import components, spare parts, and finished helicopters from start to finish, preparation of all required documentation associated with imports, ensuring compliance with the Customs and Border Control (CBP) import regulations, and the assignment of HTS and Schedule B codes, application for licenses, and all related documentation for the import of hardware, software, data and services. This role is also responsible for developing, implementing, improving, and managing AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation’s (AWPC) import management structures, due diligence screening, maintenance of internal controls policies, and systems for regulatory compliance.

The position will be responsible for supporting all import-related aspects of the development, implementation, execution, and training of employees for the AWPC trade compliance policy and procedures as they relate to import activity. This position, in tandem with the Export function, will coordinate to ensure the required flow of materials and data into and out of AWPC. Candidates must maintain a customs broker license and be a Certified Customs Specialist. Candidates must have the ability to react to developing import regulations and advise the General Counsel on appropriate mitigation steps, and assess the trade compliance risks of executing transactions with non-US entities in a variety of capacities (e.g., customers, affiliates, sales promoters, suppliers, employees, and every other function of the company that deals with non-US persons or entities).

Responsibilities:

• Manages relationships with import brokers to minimize the impact of duties, tariffs, and import costs for AWPC.
• Coordinates with Export Manager, Procurement & Supply Chain, Finance, Program, and Customer Support Teams to ensure the efficient flow of components and materials into AWPC.
• Responds to import matters as presented on a daily basis.
• Researches and interprets U.S. import regulations and flows all changes into AWPC policies and procedures. Responds to all formal requests received from and audits initiated by Customs and Border Protection.
• Audits and monitors AWPC’s import filings to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and suggests workflow and other changes to mitigate audit risk.
• Reviews all pre- and post-entry import documentation for accuracy of classifications, associated duties, and all other required information.
• Registers, maintains, and renews all import-related certifications and applications.
• Reviews, updates, implements and trains employees on import-related aspects of the AWPC trade compliance policy and procedures.

Qualifications for Position:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Also possesses expert knowledge of U.S. import control regulations including U.S. Customs Regulations, (19 CFR), classification (ECCN, HTSUS) and CF28/CF29 responses.

Experience:

• Minimum six years’ experience in import and customs compliance.

Licensure/Certification:

U.S. Custom House Broker license required

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, fully-remote, Estimator with a strong background in multifamily wood-frame construction to support a growing pipeline of projects across southern New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area. This individual will play a key role in preconstruction, working closely with internal teams and subcontractors to develop accurate, competitive project estimates.

This is a 5-day a week remote role with travel to South Jersey at least once a month.

The ideal candidate will bring not only technical estimating expertise, but also established relationships with subcontractors and vendors in the Southern New Jersey market.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for multifamily construction projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment

We are looking for an experienced leader in experimentation methodology to join our core Applied ML team. The Applied AI and Machine Learning team handles large-scale data to support many business areas. We develop a cohesive navigation experience across channels and web pages. Our goal is to simplify and improve the shopping experience for everyday entrepreneurs worldwide, helping them quickly find what they need on our website.

In this leadership role, you will enhance the strategic direction of our experimentation methodology efforts. You will use simulations and reinforcement learning, ensuring consistency with business objectives, and supporting cross-functional teams in data-informed experimentation solutions. You will guide teams working at the intersection of large-scale foundation models, multi-agent systems, and RL-based optimization, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

What you'll get to do...

• Define and drive the strategic roadmap for AI driven experimentation methodology, aligning initiatives with organizational goals and business impact
• Supervise and mentor teams of scientists and engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
• Promote meticulous experimentation, including the development of simulation environments and robust evaluation frameworks using machine learning and RL
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate research outcomes into scalable, production-ready experimentation solutions
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and cultivate a collaborative, innovative environment across the Applied ML team and broader organization

Your experience should include...

• 3+ years of professional experience managing and leading high-performing teams, including mentoring and coaching team member to achieve organizational goals
• 5+ years of professional experience in experimentation methodology, Reinforcement Learning, and software development 
• 2 + years of professional with experimentation platforms, data pipelines, and analytical tools to guide methodological rigor
• A deep understanding of statistical principles, causal inference, and experimental design for large-scale digital products
• A track record of partnering effectively with experimentation platform teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making
• 5+ years of professional experience translating complex statistical concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to define and implement a vision for experimentation best practices across diverse product areas

You might also have...

• Master's in computer science or equivalent quantitative fields
