Who We Are

We are a food manufacturing startup, Orange and Fifth, currently in the "build" phase. We don’t have a 500-page SOP manual or a dedicated department for every task. What we do have is a vision, a facility, and a lot of work to do before our early-2027 launch. Led by a seasoned entrepreneur with a previous successful exit in food manufacturing, we are launching a fresh snack brand and looking for a foundational team member who views "lack of structure" as an opportunity to build it themselves. What You’ll Do

Through the remainder of 2026, your "typical day" doesn't exist. You will be responsible for:

• Systems & Finance: Building complex costing spreadsheets, managing initial budgets, and translating data into professional PowerPoint decks for stakeholders.
• Logistics & Admin: Handling office setup, reviewing vendor contracts, and managing the nitty-gritty of facility logistics.
• Supply Chain: Sourcing and ordering raw ingredients, vetting suppliers, and managing early-stage inventory.
• R&D Support: Organizing product testing runs and—yes—getting your hands dirty on the production floor during trial runs.
• Process Design: Helping us decide how we work by implementing the first iterations of our scheduling and procurement workflows.

Who You Are

• Highly Technical: You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. You think in logic and spreadsheets.
• The "Figure-It-Out" Factor: You are comfortable with ambiguity. If you don't know the answer, you’ll find it before anyone even realizes there was a question.
• Food/Manufacturing Savvy: You have a background in manufacturing (ideally food). You understand the pace, the safety standards, and the nuances of a production environment.

Effectively and efficiently executes New Product Development (NPD) projects from quotation phase to completion in line with the scope definition and within the given time, budget and quality constraints. Other type projects (internal, process improvement, concept development) can be part of the scope of the Project Manager as well.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Project planning. Creates a project plan including deliverables, planning and budget, in line with PPE policies and standards, and in accordance with the business case and customer expectations.

· Resource and Capacity Planning. Builds a project team with in- and/or external expertise, the availability of the required resources, tools and facilities, and allocates project activities to the individual project team members, in line with the project plan.

· Project Execution. Supervises the progress of the project according to plan and business case, ensures execution of the activities by the project team members and takes corrective measures if necessary.

· Project Reporting. Develops and presents project progress reports to provide internal and external stakeholders with appropriate information for decision making and follow-up.

· Stakeholder Management. Ensures the implementation of the project deliverables, manages relationships and (changing) expectations and relevant stakeholders during execution and develops actions to support them.

· Evaluates execution and lessons learned after finishing the project with all stakeholders, in order to learn and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

· Project Management Office. Oversees the portfolio of projects at hand and makes sure Project Management best practices methodologies are captured and shared within PPE to contribute to the improvement of Project Management capabilities in the organization.

Education Requirements:

· Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent

Physical Demands

Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. Position Summary

The Scientist – Process Chemistry is an integral member of the Innovation Team, responsible for developing new product and process concepts from ideation through commercialization. JOB SUMMARY

As a Toolmaker III, you play a critical role in developing and optimizing advanced tooling solutions for manufacturing processes. We are looking for an experienced leader in experimentation methodology to join our core Applied ML team. The Applied AI and Machine Learning team handles large-scale data to support many business areas. We develop a cohesive navigation experience across channels and web pages. Our goal is to simplify and improve the shopping experience for everyday entrepreneurs worldwide, helping them quickly find what they need on our website.

In this leadership role, you will enhance the strategic direction of our experimentation methodology efforts. You will use simulations and reinforcement learning, ensuring consistency with business objectives, and supporting cross-functional teams in data-informed experimentation solutions. You will guide teams working at the intersection of large-scale foundation models, multi-agent systems, and RL-based optimization, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

What you'll get to do...

• Define and drive the strategic roadmap for AI driven experimentation methodology, aligning initiatives with organizational goals and business impact
• Supervise and mentor teams of scientists and engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
• Promote meticulous experimentation, including the development of simulation environments and robust evaluation frameworks using machine learning and RL
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate research outcomes into scalable, production-ready experimentation solutions
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and cultivate a collaborative, innovative environment across the Applied ML team and broader organization

Your experience should include...

• 3+ years of professional experience managing and leading high-performing teams, including mentoring and coaching team member to achieve organizational goals
• 5+ years of professional experience in experimentation methodology, Reinforcement Learning, and software development 
• 2 + years of professional with experimentation platforms, data pipelines, and analytical tools to guide methodological rigor
• A deep understanding of statistical principles, causal inference, and experimental design for large-scale digital products
• A track record of partnering effectively with experimentation platform teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making
• 5+ years of professional experience translating complex statistical concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to define and implement a vision for experimentation best practices across diverse product areas

You might also have...

• Master's in computer science or equivalent quantitative fields
